Well, looks like we won't be playing in the CFA after all. The Cathey family has ties to Clemson and really wants them, even if it means matching them against AU (again). So enjoy getting revenge on the Tiggers, assuming they continue their slide tomorrow night.

I do like our potential matchup with Notre Dame though. They'll probably beat us but it should be a pretty even pairing.

If we play Clemson at the Chick-Fil-A, we will have played them three times in a year - twice this season and our season opener next year.

DS, I'm hearing that Gus Malzahn interviewed for the UNC job, and is in the top two of their wish list.

Are you hearing anything like that? Or is football talk around Chapel Hill on the back burner now that basketball season has started?

any coach trying to actually win games would be an idiot to go to UNC right now (they couldnt win more than 8 games in a season with cherokee jesus as head coach and cheating their asses off) unless he gets assured that the ncaa isnt going to bitch-slap UNC into division 3 (dont take their word for it, lying is a way of life for them , but the ncaa may actually be ok with UNC cheating their asses off so if he can get it from the horses mouth...) which is possible.

I will enjoy reading this post when I'm sober tomorrow.

The NCAA has a tendency to hammer Cornell field hockey and William & Mary tennis, but slap big violators in the wrist.

Bubba Cunningham and company were impressed by Malzahn in his interview and very impressed by his plans and connections for building a staff.

I think he will be the next coach, but that is fluid. Who knows. There are some people saying a big name may drop next week, but I doubt that rumor. It wasn't even on IC. It was just some shit passed around attorneys in a back room behind the courtroom.

DS, the latest on Malzahn to UNC is his wife apparently said something that either killed the deal or seriously jeopardized it. Whatever she said, it was recorded, posted on youtube and pulled down the same day citing a copyright claim.

That's the rumor, anyway.

apparently Malzahn's wife is crazier than Buntings. that being said the Manatee had a winning record against State after femBunting burned some sage at the Kenan 50 yard line. maybe batshitcrazy is what unc needs.

The video was spliced together. Apparently, when you watch the entire interview, it's a non-issue.

I don't give a fuck if she sacrifices Ramses at the 50 in Kenan if that meant we could win 9-10 games consistently with a few conference championships and a BCS title.

What did she say? It must have really upset the powers that be in Chapel. Must have been either religious or conservative or anti-basketball.

BTW, burning sage smells just like burning weed.

Just saying...

I didn't say that I expect it to ever happen, but I am willing to make SMU circa 1982 look like chickenshit to win in football.
