Re: UNLV Rebels
I was bored so I watched Doomsday Preppers on Netflix.
Almost all of them that I've scanned - I can't really sit thru an episode so I kind of jump around to get the gist of each one - is that all of them are loners.
If there is some kind of disaster where we have a breakdown of society, the last thing you want is to 1. be a single family 2. advertise to everyone in the community that you have a bunch of shit that no one else has.
You'll be dead in a month.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: UNLV Rebels
that guy we bought land off of in rural kentucky, they are a tight knit community - have a big 4th of July celebration every year - pig roast, the whole 9 yards.
one of them owns several hundreds acres adjacent to our property and on that property is a cave. They as a group , stocked it with supplies in this doomsday prep stuff. They invited us to join but if my choice is burn a fiery death from an asteroid hitting the earth or live in a cave for 2 years, eating spam and hanging out with the idiot that sold us that land, I'm choosing death

Re: UNLV Rebels
I thought all the caves in rural KY were filled with goblin aliens, according to that Hellier documentary I watched.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

My big fuck-ups were taking MIss. St. and Cincy to reach the Elite Eight. Of course, if UCF had beaten dook then maybe it would have been me, not the hated aTm, who reigned supreme...

I don't even remember my choices now
I know I was big on UT and FL , and of course I was a homer for UK.

Re: UNLV Rebels
The Walking Dead has taught us a few things (or at least got us thinking) about how to deal with an apocalypse if it comes, zombie or otherwise. One thing I wonder about is if law and order collapse, even for a little while what's going to happen with these bigger criminal outfits of thugs like motorcycle gangs and the like. What will happen with all the hardened criminals in prison? You will want to be part of as big a community as possible like you said and be very well armed. It's why I'm a little leery of some of these gun regs that have come out lately that are clearly not going to stop any mass shootings anyway.eCat wrote:I was bored so I watched Doomsday Preppers on Netflix.

He was born on Wednesday looking both ways for Sunday.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Re: UNLV Rebels
Finally put my house on the market Tuesday
https://www.realtor.com/realestateandho ... 6766-18879
From Zillow
What I love about this home
Situated exactly in the middle of downtown Montgomery and downtown Blue Ash, it's a very easy walk to both. Swaim Field park is just steps away through the gate in the partially fenced backyard. Perfectly easy access to I-71, Ronald Reagan Highway and quickly accessible by highway to downtown Cincinnati (15 minutes) or sites north like Kings Island, City of Lebanon (20 minutes at worst) as well as being within a half hour or less from Indiana and Northern KY. Excellent Sycamore School system. #8 in the state and #147 in the country. Perfect place to raise a family.

What's that metal rack right at the front door? Also, location, location, location. That house would go in me and Stu's hometown for $175K, $200K tops...
