wife and I had a chance to go hiking in the Portland area last weekend.

We went to an area called the Cascade Locks to go on a trail we didn't realize had been burned out on the first day.

But we saw something odd, a dog owner picked up their dogs shit, put it in a bag and then put it on a rock on the trail. So I was thinking, OK, they must be on the way in and on the way out they'll pick it up. I thought it was strange but whatever.

Then the next day we go up to Mt St. Helens and hike another trail. This time we see the same thing, a bag of dog shit left on a rock on the trail, only this time I'm positive the dog owners are on their way back to the car because the trail was one way in/out.

So is that a thing? I think I'd rather they just kick the dog shit off the trail and leave it out in the open rather than bag it up and just leave it. I don't understand the logic to this.

Did I just happen to run into two irresponsible dog owners who thought enough to bag up their dog shit but not carry it out? I know we carry the poop bags on the leash when we bring the dogs, pick it up and carry it out to the trash can that is at the start of the trail.

you know it only takes a week or two for dog shit to turn into mother nature whereas the bags that are used to capture probably leave much more of a blueprint

Think I talked to a couple of you crackheads not too long ago about how good Joe Frazier really was. Please watch this video. Notice around the 1:30 mark how he almost took Ali's jaw off.

That was a quick concession. You must have watched the de-jawing around the 1:30 mark. Wonder what he woofed in his ear afterwards.

Clint Eastwoods long time girlfriend Sandra Locke died that day too.

There are going to be a bunch of 70'ish people dying just due to the size of the boomers.

Too generic.

If you listen close you can actually hear what he said. Sounds like 'you're in a fantasy'. A little wake up call for the "champ" perhaps?

my daughter hit me up last night, for like the 3rd time since she has move off to school for a trip

last night it was - my friends and I want to go to New Orleans over MLK weekend.

She just turned 18 in September.

I know I have to let go at some point, but I'm not going to let my 18 year old daughter go to Bourbon street for a weekend with 2 other 18 year old college girls.

Of course, I'm a horrible father now and she is an adult and its not fair, blah, blah ,blah

If she was an adult, she wouldn't have to ask you for permission or finances...

Besides, I hear Bourbon St is a lot more tame now.

fortunately I'm back in her good graces

I had to buy her an iPhone but I'm not above bribery

(what she doesn't know is I got a $500 refund from her scholarship so that money went to the iPhone for her)
