In 40 years I've not seen that stadium that empty. Kentucky football has hit an all time low. Other than the band there can't be a 100 students in the stands.

Just from a visual perspective, does this Bama/LSU game appear to be somewhat Seurat-like from a couple of angles they keep showing, even in HD, or is that the acid talking?

In contrast (indeed, very high contrast) the lines in the KSU/OSU game couldn't be any less blurred. Everything is stark and crisp, very HD, almost looks like a video game, whereas in the Bama game, you're seeing chunklets of grass and turf pipping and popping everywhere. OK, so KSU plays on carpet, there's still a huge difference in these games as optic phenomena...

All I know is, this game is pretty intense. There's a mild political intrigue to this too as, historically, when these teams play during a Presidential election year, an LSU win is a GOP win and an Alabama win is a DEM win.

The same goes for Redskin victories prior to the election, with regard to the incumbent party.

Just like last year's regular season matchup, this game looks and feels like the national championship game...

I really don't see how Notre Dame, after taking 3 OT's to squeak by a bad Pitt team, should get to move up on Bama (if Bama loses this game). Either of these teams would dismantle Notre Dame, and they know it. Everybody knows it...

"Post hoc ergo propter hoc"

Are you referring to my post about this feeling like the natty champship or were you sassing any attempt to correlate game results with election results?

I was referring to the correlation of game results to election results. My houngan's chicken bones say so.

I don't think LSU had any realistic hope of scoring a TD on Bama with under a minute, but I didn't think they'd be this inept, either. In fairness, though, rarely does a team as good as LSU have the wind taken out of their sails in this fashion in the last minute of the game...
