Here is the caption to the following pic. This breaks my heart. The dog even looks sad:

I know I'm late, but I just heard the news about Hizzy and wanted to say how worry I am to hear that. I guess you all have said everything there is to say, but he was a good guy and I hate that he's gone.

Looks like all the rain has missed us, but the temp has dropped like 40 degrees since this afternoon...

If we beat Dook tonight, which I think we will, and rather handily, and then win the ACC tourny, there's no way we won't be a 1 seed. We'll be the solid #4 team in the country, with Dook (who we just beat twice) and MSU (who just lost rather badly and has OSU coming up) as the next best. Or Mizzou. None of those teams can bypass us for a 1 seed under that scenario. The real issue is who will be the 2 seed in our bracket. I'm not worried about anybody in that spot except OSU, but we can beat them. Then they'll set it up for us to potentially face Kansas in the FF and UK in the finals. Bring it on...

The year after I got out of UK, and I was still living in Lexington, one of my college friends got married in Chicago. On the way back home my car broke down on I-65 in Henryville, Indiana, on a Sunday night. If not for some very kind people who helped us out in several ways we would have been in deep shit that night. I said a prayer this morning for little Henryville, Indiana.

Way to repay that debt in such a concrete, boots-on-the-ground fashion, Fifer. "Puh_LEEEEZE, GEEEEE-SUS, hay-ulp them folks in Hayne-reh-vee-uw! Amen..."

Henryville could use a lot more than a useless prayer right now. But, I'm sure it made you feel better so that's what really counts, right?

not that it would have mattered but I'm not sure Duke waited until 41 seconds to start fouling. If they were serious about getting back into the game, they should have started fouling around the 2:14 mark when they were down 13.

Roy refusal to call time out to end runs drive me nuts
to start the second half as soon as Duke made it 4-2 I would have burnt a time out. Instead Duke hits two more threes and the lead is down to 16 just like that.
The when they made the other run to cut it to 11 before the 8 minute time out, UNC had the ball and both Barnes and Henson were on the bench. The had a few O rebounds but did not have good offense flow around 810 he should called to and got Henson and Barnes back in the game. Instead Duke as two good chances to get in under ten.
If you stop the runs you do not need to have time out with under 200 left

Not surprised to see nothing more than a single post by goldie. UNC lays an old-fashioned country ass whupping on Dook, not much for goldie to comment on in that situation. When we're playing well, he's pissed. But at least he's pissed enough to keep his fucking pie hole shut...
Barring a blowout loss in the ACC tourny, that performance should've locked up a 1 seed. If we play like that, I like our chances against anybody. Granted, Dook played like shite for large segments of the game, but hey, that part of the game. We capitalized and put a boot to the back of their head while they were screwing the pooch on the offensive end, but again, that's exactly what you're supposed to do, and we did it. I like the way we're rolling into the tourny season...

Iowa State beat Baylor tonight. According to IB, that makes Baylor a lock for a 1 seed. Because hey, it's got to be SOMEBODY, right? Why not Baylor?? Right, IB? RIGHT??? It's gotta be SOMEBODY!! LMAO...

Coach K is such a baby about coaching in the first half instead of doing nothing
