You should be using bacon grease to fry an egg. Or sausage, but I keep the bacon grease on the stove so it's handy. My eggs never stick. I use oil spray to keep the pancakes from sticking. I'm done with non-stick pans.

My Dad (Georgia farm boy til he left Telfair County at 17) used to always cook his eggs in bacon grease...til the doctor told him to stop and learn to love oatmeal.

my Mom has always called it MAC..Donalds so I guessing she West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, maybe Northern Georgia
