Re: Florida State Seminoles
Of COURSE it is. For YOU it is.
You need to change rat. Trump will get you there. You haven't hit rock bottom yet and haven't have your life nearly destroyed yet where you realized that everything you thought was important, really wasn't. You are not going to turn the corner until something really horrible happens to you, horrible because of all the false gods you worship led you so far astray. I remember the very day I hit rock bottom, exactly that moment, where it happened, what I was doing, and what changes I made in my life to move on.
When that happens, when you are lying face down in the gutter, face down in your own blood and vomit but still alive, and you look around for any of your allies who you thought would be there for you when you needed them the most because you believed in what they told you (but they have abandoned you), I'll be there to help you. I am not going to abandon you rat.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Everyone that I know who is in a panic at this very moment, a panic caused by watching what is FINALLY HAPPENING in this country, a panic because they know that there is no one coming, nothing to stop what is happening from happening, they ARE that way because none of them have hit their individual rock bottom yet. Instead, they build their lives on a Jenga pile of falsehoods and fantasies. And that pile is tall, thin, fragile, assembled entirely on a moving plate in an earthquake zone, but it is very decorative and believable. These people are blue pill rat, just like you. They believe in misled people or broken things because those people or things are authoritative or familiar. Its what they know. Its what they believe. Its what they WANT to believe. And what the believe in is now finally collapsing.
Its easy to live a blue pill life. Its easy to live a life of denial. Ignorance is bliss, is it not? Truman could have stayed in the giant shell of artificiality that was his safe home, but he didn't. He took the red pill, opened the door, and said goodbye to his audience. The red pill is painful, harsh, brutal, hurtful, but real. The red pill cures you of your peanut allergies and your fear of the unknown. The world is not benign BUT the red pill makes you an oncologist in a malignant world. Trump is that chemotherapy. And it is red pill people who are going to drag us through what is happening now and bringing us to the other side, salvation and civilization.

Congress appropriated that money for that purpose, nothing to do with FEMA. Or rather I should say, FEMA has no say about how that money is spent, they're doing what they were mandated to do with it...

I suspect Maga is going to be a bit more reasonable and realistic about inflation, the economy and egg prices now that their boy is in office...

"What if a lawsuit goes to the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of Musk's actions, they rule it's unconstitutional and Trump says fuck it, we're doing it anyway and sends Musk back in? Would you be giddy about that?"
Post by eCat » Thu Feb 06, 2025 5:16 pm
no, I would not support Trump saying fuck it to the supreme court."
Might be fixin to find out sooner than I thought. Find out if you're really not going to support Trump when he says fuck it to the Supreme Court I mean. I wonder if Musk, Trump, Maga and you are going to start referring to Thomas, Gorsuch, Alito & Co. as "unelected activist judges" if they vote to stop some of the stuff Musk and Trump are doing? Looks like it's already started. Oh, and Musk has changed his twitter handle yet again..

When the Supreme Court rules on it then we’ll talk, not some state activist judge

Analysis: As Trump team overhauls government, a constitutional crisis looms
https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/10/politics ... index.html
“Vice President JD Vance, Elon Musk and others in the Trump administration are openly challenging the centuries-old power of the nation’s judiciary, foreshadowing a possible constitutional breakdown of American government.
It’s not simply that the new administration has flouted a raft of federal statutes and prompted a flood of legal challenges. It’s that some of Donald Trump’s top advisers have cast doubt on whether rulings on those lawsuits would even constrain the president.
There are signs that some judges’ orders have been disregarded. On Monday, a federal judge in Rhode Island found that the administration has violated the “plain text” of his earlier order unfreezing billions of dollars in federal aid. The judge directed funding to be reinstated to environmental, health and other programs that had been cut off.
In a separate case Monday, in Washington, DC, federal employees told a judge that the administration had failed to reinstate USAID workers who were put on leave.
… Chief Justice John Roberts may have presaged the turn of events six weeks ago as he warned at the end of December that “elected officials from across the political spectrum have raised the specter of open disregard for federal court rulings. These dangerous suggestions, however sporadic, must be soundly rejected.” …”

Re: Florida State Seminoles
“… Vance has previously hinted at his disregard for high court rulings, declaring in a 2021 podcast that Trump could respond to adverse decisions “like Andrew Jackson did and say, ‘The chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it.’”
Scholars say that commonly invoked line, attributed to Jackson of Chief Justice John Marshall after the 1832 Worcester v. Georgia ruling, is likely apocryphal.
“The quote is not really fitting here,” added University of Chicago law professor Alison LaCroix, who is also a legal historian. “There was no order issued to the President Jackson. It was issued to Georgia,” which had asserted authority over members of the Cherokee Nation living there. (The Supreme Court ruled that federal jurisdiction was exclusive, so Georgia lacked the authority to control the Cherokees. But Jackson, who had pressed for “Indian removal,” refused to enforce the order and instead sent troops to forcibly remove the Cherokees, in what became known as “The Trail of Tears.”)
… Meanwhile, Trump on Monday expanded on his criticisms of the judicial system, criticizing judges for wanting to “tell everybody how to run the country.”
“Judges should be ruling. They shouldn’t be dictating what you’re supposed to be doing,” Trump told radio host Mark Levin during an interview broadcast Monday night. …”

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Wrong again:
How Biden is continuing to cancel student loan debt despite Supreme Court ruling
Although the Supreme Court struck down President Joe Biden’s signature student loan forgiveness program in late June, his administration has found ways to cancel more than $48 billion in debt since then.
The cancellations have come through existing federal student loan forgiveness programs, which are limited to specific categories of borrowers, such as public-sector workers, people defrauded by for-profit colleges, and borrowers who have paid for at least 20 years.
These programs are separate from the rejected forgiveness plan, which would have canceled about $430 billion of the $1.6 trillion of outstanding federal student loan debt all at one time.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Anybody with any sense (although that appears to be in short supply around here) can easily see that Biden didn't defy or bypass the SC's ruling, he just continued using loan forgiveness programs that were already in place and had not been subject to any legal challenges. He fully complied with the Supreme Court ruling that struck down the larger loan forgiveness plan he tried to implement. Let's see if Trump will obey a Supreme Court ruling that doesn't suit him. You've already said you wouldn't be OK with that, I guess we'll see about that too...

"FEMA spends $59m to house illegals in hotels.
People still living in tents in North Carolina.
they could rebuild 2500 homes with that money"
That would come to around $23K per "home."
