Hack is trying to channel his inner Shiny. Kind of reminds me of my ex. Even when she's wrong and its obvious even to her she won't admit it. Shameful.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone on a message board who is more obsessed with anyone than you are with Shiny.

OMG. That pisses me off! Let me at those mother f**kers. Kudos to the woman who had a lot of guts to go to the man and call 911. She could have been the next victim. Damn, I'm angry.

In other news...

In a huge victory for Governor John Kasich, Ohio voters overwhelmingly repudiate Obamacare-type healthcare mandates...

Been reading up a little bit on SB5 this morning. Pretty interesting, really. I would have to agree that the bill, as written, seems to have gone too far. I think the biggest problem was in the wording that said the unions would lose the right to collectively bargain "any and all reasonable rules and regulations." My understanding is that this would have essentially given the government sole discretion in deciding what the definition of "reasonable" is. I could certainly see where this would give voters pause. That part, alone, was enough to sink the whole thing.

And it's too bad, really, because it seems like there was a lot of good stuff in there, too. They should rewrite it and try again.

One thing is clear from what I've read this morning, though: the unions and their allies lied their asses off, spewing all kinds of misinformation to try to defeat the bill. They falsely claimed that the bill would cut teacher pay and pension benefits, that it would eliminate existing collective bargaining agreements, that it would drastically cut (or even eliminate) sick leave for public employees, that it would cut domestic partner benefits and that teachers would have to pay for substitutes out of their own pockets -- none of that was in the bill, from what I have read.

So rewrite the thing and run it past the voters again. But don't expect an easy -- or fair -- fight.

All that is moot.

I've been reading about the European financial situation from their media. It's getting scary over there, and we would definitely be affected if it all implodes.

If we revert to the hunter-gatherer era, I've got a farm, guns and a banjo. We'll be alright...

Not sure why that vid would elicit "thin the herd" and "Obama's Amerika."

At least I hope I'm not sure..

Actually I thought of you, toe, when I read those video comments. You've always been particularly sensitive to matters of race as they appear in this forum.

This looks like a good ad by Bachmann, but she'll need to be much more aggressive along these lines in the debates for it to have an effect
