My mother watches that tripe, but she knew not to make such a claim to her gentle, kind mother-in-law, Granny DS.

I don't care about superhero comics or movies either. The only mainstream comic I ever liked was Swamp Thing. I would rather read the raunchy ones instead of the faggy superhero in tights shit

Among others. The teachers and administrators were invariably depicted as either malevolent (and sometimes outright satanic) or inept...

These people who didn't evacuate in Hawaii...the news keeps saying they are trapped? Psht, I've seen Dante's Peak, so I know that all they need is a 4x4 Chevy Suburban with good tires to drive over and through an active lava flow.

I'm not going to move to Death Valley. I'm not going to live in Tornado Alley. I'm not getting a mail order bride from Haiti.

so I don't understand why someone would build a house at the base of Mount Fuego.

Your idea of excitement is re-routing the Firestick into the Kobi app...

Was on the Big Island a few years ago and did the helicopter thing over the volcano which has always been active, just certain times gets more active than others. What was interesting was that even though your property was totally buried by the lava you were still responsible for the property taxes, etc. even though the property couldn't be used for a decade. I guess in the 80's they had a big eruption that flowed down the west side to the sea. Then in 2000's you start seeing people putting back up houses on what looked like a huge asphalt parking lot from above.

On vacation this week. I know it happens to everyone, but we were stuck on the tarmac for 40 minutes before taking off. Then another 15 waiting for a gate after we landed. The result was by the time we got off the plane our connecting flight was already boarded. We did the OJ Simpson run thru the airport thing and got on our flight with only a few minutes to spare but our luggage didn't make it. So I"m sitting here in Wal-Mart clothes. We had a long hike planned today and its going to suck not having the right clothes, backpack and gear we brought specifically for it. Its put a serious damper on the trip so far. The soonest we will get our luggage today is 3pm and that is if they make us a priority in delivery. We spent $260 on clothes , toiletries and a pair of shoes for my wife so we could hike today - and its all shit stuff just to get by. I'm hoping the airline does something for us to cover that.
