If Bama fans try that, well that's what rock salt and buckets full of aged animal entrails are for...

Dear lord, even with permission, I would hope we never, ever do something as retarded as throwing toilet paper in a tree to celebrate a win.

I can't see it either.

This was my preseason prediction back in August. Insightful, prescient and strikingly accurate, just like all my posts:
Professor Tiger wrote:I'm ready to make general observations/predictions about our upcoming season:
Likely wins: Utah State, Florida Atlantic, Ole Miss, Samford.
Likely losses:
Miss. State: This game is early in the season and before our host of new starters get their bearings.
USCe: The Evil Genius will not be denied this time. Our best hope is to catch Garcia during one of his frequent suspensions/drinking binges, but that's not much of a hope.
Arkansas: The Hogs are becoming a perennial offensive powerhouse, and seem to be growing a defense as well. Too much for us and our rebuilding defense.
LSU: We'll suffer mild blowout at the hands of the Mad Hatter. Our only hope is that the Yahoo 10 story is about LSU, and they plunge into disarray. But that's not much of a hope.
Alabama: The Saban will have his dish of revenge served cold after last year's embarrassing second half meltdown. This will resemble the 2008 Iron Bowl.
Toss-ups:
Clemson: Never underestimate Clemson's propensity to fold. But the law of averages says Clemson will beat us sometime. Might as well be this time at their place.
Florida: They are in transition between coaches and will be more beatable than usual (sorta like Meyer's first year). And we play them at home.
Georgia: The Dawgs want to avenge Fairley's riverdance on Murray last year. They have enough talent to win convincingly. But in our favor, Mark Richt is still masterminding the Dawgs long, slow slide into mediocrity. And we are playing at Jordan Hare East.
Summary: we win the 3 tossups and go 7-5. That's being optimistic.

Saw this one coming a mile away...didn't even waste any energy getting my hopes up.
Season went about like I figured...I thought we might beat Clemson and definitely lose to South Carolina. Those were a split in the opposite direction. Anybody (outside of the Gamecocks) that was worth a crap kicked our ass badly this year. South Carolina has got to be wondering how in the hell they lost to us at home.
Maybe we'll get Music City...I'm hearing Peach, erm, Chick-Fil-A, in other places. I just hope we get a good draw...we're 7-1 in our last 8 bowl games.

I asked the same thing...10ac said y'all scored more points.

The talk around the FSU circles is that if Atlanta picks you and VT beats Clemson, then we'll be the opponent. It makes sense, because they couldn't possibly want an Auburn/Clemson rematch (especially with them kicking off next season).
If we can get our offense right in the next month, it would be a good game. If not, we'll get mudstomped. Of course I thought USCe would give us trouble last year in the Peach-Fil-A but we outmuscled them.

Heh to the literalist GBJs...sorta like Doug Barfield saying that the only way AU would beat Wake Forest was if we outscored them...you knew what he meant (offensive shootout), but it sounded dumb.
Kev, I'd be down with that matchup...I think y'all would strangle our offense more than ours would contain yours. I'd bet the under for sure...a 10-7 sort of game, on the surface.

I'm not sure how we'll do in a bowl game. If we aren't playing a top ten team, maybe we won't look so hapless.

You don't get better playing easy teams. Look at your losses objectively and see what the common theme is besides being "young". The truth is like a woman's girdle...the more it hurts, the more good it does in the end.
Whatever you do, don't fire Roof.

Roof is the only coach on our staff who deserves to be fired. His defense absolutely sucked for the first 11 and one half games of last season. They suddenly got pretty good in the second half of the Iron Bowl, and stayed pretty good in the SECCG and BCSCG. Our defense has been atrocious all season long this year, showing little sign of improvement.
Roof needs to seek employment elsewhere. That's what we get for hiring a GA Tech guy.

Pat Dye says the defense played better ball than the offense this year. Some stats actually back him up on this.

He's so drunk he can't see the field.
But this time he's right. Ted Roof is probably one of the best coaches on the staff. Who is that "Troopah" thug they hold in such high regard?
