A very rare (and just about only) occasion when I'm happy to see an ACC team beat an SEC team. I wish the Gators had a fraction of the explosiveness Clemson displayed at the crucial times of the game.

I have seen enough. Mark Richt is a great guy and good coach. He cannot produce in big games. Aaron Murray is Tony Romo. Todd Grantham is a complete fraud. Mike Bobo always makes at least 3 to 4 terrible play calls that impact the outcome of big games. It is what it is. 8-4 or 7-5 this year. No doubt.

DDAL is no AA, though if Carolina can put the poodles in an 0-2 hole that will help.

One of the more unpleasant overall days in recent memory. A good evening on the beach puts it behind me.

Yes, esp. if you wade out into the surf far enough...

" I am in blood
Stepp'd in so far that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er"

Life is good sometimes. Athens was perfect Saturday. Aaron really redeemed himself; Todd Grantham did not.

Three weeks to work on the defense before the big LSU matchup. Maybe we will learn to stop the run at some point this year... I am also puzzled that we don't have anyone who can cover better than #4. Langley got picked on all day--and rightfully so.

After Grantham's first year, I thought he was not the right guy for the job. The last couple of years a lot of people thought he redeemed himself but he had a metric shit ton of experienced NFL talent on that team (like Stoops at FSU). Now he has young talent but if he can't get them coached up by the end of the season it might be time to look elsewhere. JMHO.

Murray out with an ACL? Wow, talk about a snake-bitten team.

So Grantham is widely panned by the Dawg fanbase - they want him out but Richt is loyal to a fault and keeps him on.

Then Louisville hires back a noted scumbag, who turns and gives Grantham a huge raise and a longer contract than the head coach...WTF?

If UGA ends up with Clancy Pendergast, they might end up being the big winners in the offseason. And half his first year's salary would be paid by Papa John!

Must be bad if a DC decides to jump ship

I think it was more of a "Hey Todd, look I'm not going to fire you but if someone gives you another offer I REALLY think you should consider it..." thing.

Plus he got a ridiculous offer - $1M/year for five - for a guy who hasn't really proven anything.

The only negative is that FSU's young DC is being rumored for the UGA job - it would be hard to imagine him taking it but if he does, thanks for the fantastic year Jeremy!

I'm happy to see Grantham go. I never wanted him. He was Georgia's 7th choice after the 2010 season. The program is in better shape thanks to the guts and grit of Murray and the supreme talent of Gurley. The defense has a load of talent, as always. The job is going to be attractive. The only way UGA ever wins a title is if they can get a indomitable defense a la Erk Russell style. I pray whoever they hire fills that roll, but I don't want my Noles to be diminished for that cause... Well, never mind. Hell yes I do!
