Missouri and Georgia proved they truly deserved NCAA bids by exiting the NIT nice and early.

Nope. Three coaches retired after exiting UT. O'Neil got pissed at the AD and left for Northwestern. Bruce got fired.

Don Devoe got fired and was picked up by Florida. heh

The NonConference

Austin Peay (0-12)
Western Kentucky (8-4)
@ Oklahoma (11-2)
South Alabama (6-6)

Looking forward to the game in Norman. The others, not so much.

UT is usually good for one good non-conf game a year.

I was in Vegas for the Oregon game last year and it was pretty funny to be outside of SEC territory. All the Bama/A&M fans were telling everybody how UT would be too physical for the ducks and wear them down. When Tenn actually went up early it got pretty entertaining.

It didnt last long tho........

I'm curious as to who's OOC schedule that is. Vols begin with Utah State (9-4), then Arky State (8-5)...go to Norman to play OU a couple of weeks later..

?
