It is GIRL rationality. This is the kind of thinking we expect of girls because we hold their logic and accountability to a lower standard than we do men. So for her, its perfectly rational since girls are purely emotional. But for you (unless you go and whack your own penis off), you should feel shame if you are okay with this logic.hedge wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 8:33 am "Stephanie's position is basically this: yes, its true, she has no idea what Kamala Harris believes but SO FUCKING WHAT?!?!? What are you going to do, not vote or vote for Trump? If you don't vote because you have no idea what Kamala believes then fuck you and die. And if you vote for Trump, then fuck you and die."
That's perfectly rational. Good for her...
In 2011, I took my family to Boston one weekend. Got off the MBTA at Boston Common. Right at that moment, there was an Occupy Wall Street protest at Beacon Hill. I ran into a couple of the protestors. My wife and daughter went to Dunkin Donuts and I got in line to get a freedom trail tour. When I was done, family had not yet returned so I wandered over to talk to the kids who were protesting. And I asked them, what are you protesting? They said they were protesting home foreclosures and student loan unforgiveness. So i asked them what about people who bought more house than they could afford...eCat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 8:55 am "Democracy is challenged because we can't move fast enough on ..........challenging the first amendment. Perhaps the biggest threat in America today is the notion that elected officials have the right to disregard first amendment rights because they don't like what is being said

...kid cuts me off, mid sentence, tells me look I am not going to argue with you, the other one tells me to go fuck myself and that he wishes I never had the right to speak. They turn around and start walking away from me. Well I am NOT going to be disrespected like that from a couple of entitled college kids who didn't know shit so I ran right up to them and got in their face and confronted them. I said, next time try and ARGUE with someone you disagree if you think they are wrong. Once again, I was told to go fuck myself and the other one wished that the first amendment was never created because he wanted to cancel me for saying things that hurt his ears.
Point is this, if you KNOW that your opponent is smarter than you are and you KNOW that you can't possibly win an argument when the other guy is arguing from the position of intelligence and rightousness, then OF COURSE the first amendment is bad. These people are assholes but at least they are smart enough to know that they are entitled douchebags who don't actually know anything.
