If he was single, no kids, and with health problems, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts there's no life insurance. ATM, the funeral home could put you in touch with his family to see if there's a fund for the costs. If there's enough money for the funeral, then there's a zillion worthy causes we could contribute to, Baseball Community Funds, NFL charities, Boys and Girls Club, just to name a few.

It was a real jolt to hear the news about Hizzy. I really enjoyed his sense of humor and insight, as well as his ability to banter while always managing to maintain the same easygoing demeanor despite the general idiocy going on around him. Really sad news.

I feel like it would be better for us if Dook won this game, but I can't bring myself to pull for them...

Even thinking that has to have some consequences.

Watching Metzger vs. Mook. First full game I've watched this year because college basketball doesn't matter until now. Id like to see Duke compete in the Big East. Coach k would have been dead by now.

The only thing more wonderful than watching Louisville lose is reading their boards and watching their shithead fans writhing in agony.

Hasn't Cincy beat them at home like 3 years in a row now? They should be used to it by now.

just got back from the game. Of course when I got there some flat bill baseball hat wearing linebeard fucking UL fans were in our seats.

Cinci won but that game was painful to watch. They virtually had no inside game and UL is a small team.

Fortunately UL couldn't throw it in the ocean.

Tomorrow they lay Hizzy to rest. I still haven't seen an obituary about his life.

I went to Brooklyn Bowl tonight to see Big Sam and Funk Nation (New Orleans style brass band) and toasted big homie. Owl is right, much too young.
