so I have a new show I like

its called "Check it Out" with Dr. Steve Brule. Its a 15 minute shows on adult swim. John C. Reilly does it and has a blast with it.

I just watched one on boats and the throw up scenes were hilarious but were so graphic my stomach was turning too.

Here are a couple of samples

Boardwalk Empire
damn, Van Alden and Chalky dead in the same episode. Eli will be riding trains like a hobo - no one is left from the first season except the idiot Irish guy
I've just started watching that. Just finished the first season. Buscemi isn't really convincing as a hardcore badass, but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for the sake of the story. Kinda the same as with Breaking Bad...

I've never thought of the Nucky character as a badass per se. He was a businessman with a pragmatic, real world view of the business he was in.

Here's a pic of the real character Nucky Thompson was based on. While they don't look alike, you can see the original didn't look imposing on the surface, either:

Don't know why that pic isn't showing up. Here's a link.

I couldn't get either one. So I switched.

Anyway, hedge, do a GIS for "real Nucky" - he has quite the wire-rimmed, bald, middle-aged accountant look in many pics.

I'm only 4 episodes in to the series. I will catch the other two this week...but I have to fit Homeland in, too. I've heard it's back to being pretty good. I was about to give up on it after last season's ending.

A well-done short film. Think Australian Carrie. Worth the 14 minutes or whatever.

Finally caught up. Heh, they're dance card is still doing better than Game of Thrones, though.

This is the last season, so they have to get things wrapped up. With that said, I know what happens to the real Nucky, Bugsy Seigel, Myer Lansky and Lucky Luciano. I wonder how much the writers will stick with the true arc of their stories.

Nucky, Meyer and Lucky all lived to see old age suprisingly enough.

Bugsy wasn't so fortunate. He was played by Warren Beatty in his movie.
