It is vexing, ain't it. The dems should have run somebody capable of trouncing the hapless dubya back in '04. Instead they slogged it out with a swift-boated Herman Munster and came up just short (even losing the popular vote that time around).

Now it's oprama who is on the ropes..but which R can stagger in and deliver the knockout punch?

I give Obama at least a 70% chance of being re-elected. Any decent R candidate should beat him easily, but right now it doesn't appear that the R's have a decent candidate.

Greece today is starting to remind me of Sarajevo in 1914 - a little backwater place tucked away in a corner of Europe where one pop brings the whole continent down.

He's got the 9 on his side. And any Republican who runs against him will only have the 1. So he'd have to really be a fuck-up to lose.

Somehow I'm sure this comes as a surprise to exactly none of us.

'Occupy' protester with criminal record accused of assaulting police officer at demonstration...

Why do you say Cain is crazy?
Well. Crazy was the theme...but yeah, he's more clownish than crazy.

His resume is about 10x stronger than Oprama's

Hell, sober Clinton up and run him again and I would campaign for him,
I'd vote for Clinton in a heartbeat. We need to bring back a little fiscal discipline after a 10 year deficit spending orgy. Just take away his Levitra while he's in office and he'll quit banging so many women.
C'mon PT. You know better. There was NO fiscal discipline until you had R's in congress and even then the tax revenues due to the net and y2k were beyond everybodys dreams even DC took a year or two to figure out how to spend it all and then Y2k was over and the bubble burst.

I have to chuckle that after all the "Oh this is just the Dems and their dirty tricks" re: Cain's habit of sexual harassment, the Cain campaign comes out and directly accuses Perry of being behind it all. Well, after accusing the media and the Dems of being behind it all too
Sick leave and vacation should be between the employee and employer.

And itsn't it odd that 90% of private biz offers paid vacation and 75% sick leave even when NOT required by law to do so?

And we all knew the attacks would be coming on Cain. It drives libs nuts to see a successful black man leave the plantation. He must be destroyed before others follow his lead.

Cause R's don't have the Senate and Oprama isn't Clinton.

Oprama also didn't have relative peace, downsizing of military, dirt cheap energy prices, and the onset of a completely new industry that resulted in MILLIONS of high paying technical jobs that swelled tax revenues beyond imagination.

C'mon PT. You know better. There was NO fiscal discipline until you had R's in congress
The R's controlled the White and House and the Senate from 2000 - 2008. The R's also controlled the House from 2000 - 2006.

During that time, they had no fiscal discipline. Zero, zip, nada. They also failed to use their majority status to either detect or prevent the insane lending practices that led to the financial meltdown of the fall of 2008.The start of the current recession is largely their fault. Making the current recession worse and mortgaging the country's long-term future is the Dem's fault.

15 yards, excessive bullshit!

Our current status (Obammer spending in 09 and 10 not withstanding) is due to 30+ years of "do gooder/re-election is all that counts" policies from our central gubment.
