Bama slaughtering Alabama State or besting Troy by 4 TDs impresses no one, in state or out-of-state, and it engenders no good will between us and the in-state guys. Is there any coherent reason why Bama should deliver fat paychecks to Mercer and Western Carolina instead of the instate programs? No one will be impressed by beating those teams either, yet Nick says "bring em on!"

Nope. UAB is a failed program. Moribund. Oh, those pledges, we never got them all. Millions short. No one, not even this UAB alum, gives a shit about Blazer football. But we will prop them up because of the bad pub.

Re: beating the instate guys: Again, those teams get the big paychecks from other major teams. Why do you care if they get their million dollars and ass kicking from Bama or Florida State? What possible difference does it make to you or anyone?
