What the vaccine(s) did was make the symptoms of Covid just a cold. It reduced the destructive power of Covid dramatically. In that sense alone, it is worth it.

Yes this is really sad. It didn't help everyone.

The vaccine is effective. ICATT data shows >50% reduction in infection for the XBB and JNI viruses for the currently vaccinated. Further, those vaccinated who got it were statistically less likely to get seriously ill. Yes, we have other variants, but currently (March 2024), JNI is still responsible for >85% of new cases. Omicron (the original strain) is essentially a non factor now and the vaccine is a big part of why.

In short, the Trump vaccine wasn’t/isn’t a panacea, but it is responsible for muting the pandemic to a point where it’s not the issue it was.

Some have turned it into a conspiracy theory and political football and have done a great job spreading bad info on it to support their agenda and those inclined will believe bad/unsupported info wholecloth if it supports their personal views.

Finally, I’m not interested in debate on this. Been there, done that, and lectured on it - and there is no profit in it. So, if you think I’m full of shit on this subject, feel free, and I will symbolically tip my hat to you, and ignore the ever loving fuck out of you.
