Every game round the SEC yesterday was a blowout snoozefest, including Louisiana Tech taking Ole Piss to the woodshed, except for the thrilling 17-12 Cavalcade of Craptitude in Columbia

Watching a Big Ten game was refreshing, actually. I could cheer for Illinois (where Tiger cub #2 attends), but not be devastated by the outcome (yes, the Illini lost). But it was college football within its proper bounds, assuming its rightful but modest place within the much larger and mysterious cosmos.

By contrast, if I had watched Auburn yesterday. I might have slashed my wrists. That may have been excessive.

PS: It could be worse. I could be a Penn State fan.

Doesn't matter. It's B10 football. Big, slow, of foot.

Just a little excessive.

When Gus leaves, it will be to a better football program than UNC.

He already turned down Vandy. The 'Dores have a better program than Ole Miss.

A lot of Auburn fans were worried about him going to UGA, but Richt saved his job for another year or two.

Now I see Gus going to Texas when Mack leaves. They are always stealing our good coaches.

MississiPi is messing up by firing Nutt now. All those non-quals he signed and placed two years ago would be coming in this recruiting season and pay immediated dividends. He's a man ahead of his time. I forsee him going to Auburn as OC after Mahlzahnonenon goes to ? as HBC and lighting up the conference.

Maybe Mike Dubose will add Nutt to the Millsaps staff.

I believe Mike Dubose is the defensive coordinator at Memphis.

I infer that you believe that line to be clever. I just don't see what about it is. Can you explain the humor behind it?

If you have to ask, you'll never understand.

Glad to see that the Auburn PD is making sure our trees don't get poisoned by any more Alabama fans:
