Chavis is gone. Years go by. And we STILL can not tackle in the open field or wrap anyone up.

Damnit. I would have preferred to have gone for it on 4th down there. With a cold qb coming in for SC, I cant' say I blame Jones for kicking it.

hehehe I love my Vols and just love to participate.

At any rate, the day after. We can wear our school T-shirts and colors in public without feeling shame. At least for a week... LOL

Funny thing about Palardy is I was thinking earlier how many times he has missed FGs and just flat out lost games for us. "Fuck Palardy" is something I have muttered around these parts quite often. He deserved it. He sure came through yesterday though (although he did miss an attempt earlier in the game...). Funny thing is he's been pretty good this season. Maybe he has gotten his act together? I hope so. He was the #1 kicker in the country in the draft when we took him. He needs to live up to it.

Great game Gamecocks. That beast on their defense, Clowney, is the real deal. Without him, I feel we would have won the game by two TDs. He'll go first round in the draft, probably first pick for that matter.

At any rate, time for the big one. 'bama is going to hand our heads to us. Still, this feels good.

We expect to get our return on investment on our players. Why the heck would we pay them for if we didn't?

Another funny thing about this is SCarolina of all schools. They used to be one of the teams we scheduled for homecoming. Now, they are in the hunt championships and we are looking at them like it's a marquee win (which it was). How times have changed. That's a testament to Spurrier though. Like I said earlier: love him or hate him. He can coach.

Isn't Spurrier 70 or at least pushing 70? It will be interesting to see what happens to SC when he leaves.

Great game though. I hope we got enough in the tank to pull out two more wins. I didn't hold much hope for a bowl game prior to the season. With our play of late, it's nice to be able to think along those lines even if it does or does not happen.

That loss hurts, especially when you consider that SC would have been in the driver's seat for the east had they won. I am concerned that the loss could ruin the rest of the season and result in an 8-4/7-5 type finish.
