Clemson will be a worthy opponent for Bama in the NCG.

Clemson will probably beat us. Remember, we can't defend the read-option.

This should be a good NC game. Clemson's defense is good enough to hold Bama's offense in check (not shut them out, just hold them to 30 or so). Bama's front 7 is good enough to shut down Gallman and the loss of Deon Cain hurts their WR corps significantly, but they'll be able to throw some quicker passes effectively. The real question is whether Watson can get into the open field...if he gets 100+ yards on the ground, it will be close. If not, Bama rolls.

Watson is faster than 10 of the 11 of our starters on D. If we lose contain on him, we lose the game.

Really? Watson is NOT a speed guy. His speed is just like every other part of his game - good enough but not elite. But when you package up a lot of really good attributes and very few bad ones into one guy, you get an elite QB.
His best trait as a runner is his patience, he follows his blockers well (on designed runs, which most are) until he finds a seam then exploits it. The best time I found for him is here -
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/ds ... &genpos=QB - at 4.64 in the 40, with other sources showing him in the high 4's out of HS. He's more Jacob Coker than Blake Sims. I know a decent amount about him too, as he is from my area (Gainesville, GA) and I saw him play several times in HS on TV and in person (same with Blake Sims).
I love that picture too, it's the perfect microcosmic moment in time to reflect that game.

We are NOT a fast D.

Big Ten teams playing SEC teams are usually tortoises vs. cheetahs. That game was an extreme example.
And yes, Smart's defenses do tend to have some trouble with spread offenses.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year! AA, thanks for the Blustery Night reprint... one of my favorites...and the fore arm photo - absolutely perfect. Went to see Mom at Christmas... continues to be the best gift for me.

I wish I had the opportunity to drop by more AA... I'm working some long hours and days. Aviation has been very good to me and very rewarding, but it's damn demanding. Can you believe it's been almost 10 years since my certification? I never thought I'd have some of the opportunities I've been afforded.
But I've got to take some more regular days off. I've been working and taking off when I could, but now with 3 inspection supervisors on the shift I hope all three of us can meet our responsibilities, and take a little more quality time for ourselves.

Hi there GBJ. Don't be such a stranger.

It's UNWASHED barbarians... Get it right or stay on the bench like Muschamp should have done instead of getting a 15 yarder in the IB.
Sandbags? Simple purveyor of truth ...
Roll Tide y'all!!!
