I've visited in-laws in Aurora six or seven times. pretty typical American suburbia. a lot of malls there.

Spent years visiting there every two weeks building our complexes. Nice diverse town. We built all over Denver back in the late 90s. It was an.affordable housing gold mine. Pretty big for a suburb. Was working there the day in April of 99 when Columbine happened just a few doors down from where we were building. I will never forget that day. I closed the jobsite down and all my illegals were ordered to help. Honestly, they were amazing that day. e is right though. I've been desensitized as well to these events.

Last night, Date Night, my wife decided that she did not want to go to the movies (any movies) because of the shooting. So, we went to the Peruvian joint down the street and got wasted on pisco sours (me) and mojitos (her).

While I did want to see a movie (never see movies anymore in the theater), I was A-OK with the alternate plan. However, I guess it's officially true that I've been directly impacted by the shooting.

We have a Peruvian place out in Fairfield we hit occasionally. Most of the dishes I get there are heavy on onions and potatoes.

based on what I've read it should be pretty easy to find out. As described by a witness, the guy took a phone call which supposedly was the shooter letting him know he was at the back door.

Yeah. I mostly go with the rotisserie chicken, ceviche (which can have a lot of onions, true) and fried yuca when I order from there. We didn't eat at the place, though. We ate at another place (Creole) then walked to the Peruvian place for the drinks.

As far as the shooter, I haven't followed too much of the story yet, for some reason. I thought it was not believed to be any accomplices. But, if someone did let him in...Jesus.

There was no second guy. The dude faked like he had a call went out back, propped the door open & came back in. Pretty simple. We did the same thing when we ran out of beer.

he bought a ticket, found a seat then inconspicuously left thru an exit but jimmied the door so it stayed ajar

went to his car in the parking lot & tooled up

then came back in the theatre

could never do the beer thing at the movies, too many pee breaks.... makes the whole movie disjointed

I had a buddy who was out of control, he used to jimmy the exit for smokebreaks & swigs of rum

he came back in ripped one time and started shouting the location captions during Jackie Brown

then he said fuck it and lit a cigarette during the show, that pretty much got him banned for the foreseeable future

It was always funny when somebody kicked over an empty in the middle of the movie and it rolled down to the front.

Ginny Thomas getting the money isn't the worst to me...it's that Justice Thomas did not disclose it, esp when the information is likely to make some request that he recuse himself from some proceedings. Unethical bastid.
