I just realized something, brahs. If IB’s house catches fire, my tax dollars go to saving his damn life. Not sure how I feel about this.

Perhaps hedge. But that doesn't make my argument wrong. If I was wrong, you could come up with an argument of your own explaining why. You didn't.

That is not an argument. That is a strawman. The fire department protects everyone's property, not just mine. This particular benefit allows only the wealthy who attend university to "welsh on their debt" at the expense of the working class who will likely never earn as much.

Attack my argument by either creating one of your own that applies OR by explaining why my argument is wrong What you have "realized" is that the fire department is a public good for all, not just for some who can't pay a bill that they themselves, incurred.

The wealthy don't borrow money for college, unless you're bringing "wealthy" line down deep into the heart of middle class.

Perhaps. But once again, that doesn't make my premise incorrect. I am saying that POTUS Biden is doing this (by executive order) because of feminism. I am saying that the people who feel that this is right and good and just, feel that way because DEEP DOWN they know that the majority of this debt is held by girls who will not pay a bill and never had any intention of paying that bill in the first place and they are okay with that because they are also feminist. If the majority of this debt was held by young men, POTUS Biden would not be doing this. Remember, feminism stipulates that men have only responsibilities where as women have only rights.

When the lobbyists for higher education demanded (in fact BEGGED) congress to write laws to stipulate that student loan debt NEVER be bankruptable, what "Academics" were doing was playing the long game. Remove the ability to bankrupt yourself out of your student loan debt, and now a bank/lending institution has no real "risk" in lending you $120,000 for your damn journalism degree. The debt is entirely "unsecured" as there is no asset that is attached to it. The bank can't "foreclose" on your brain, nor can they "repossess" it. But if you can't wipe away a penny in bankruptcy, then the bank knows they are going to "get theirs" no matter what you are studying no matter how long it takes. This (IN TURN) has created a vicious cycle where higher education can charge whatever they damn well please and they know that you can just get the money from a bank. So "Academics" get big bucks for doing so very little, in perpetuity. Nice scheme eh aTm?

But it kind of backfired. Young men actually do care about those bills they have to pay. So young men would increasingly opt-out of college and university. Result? 91 colleges in this country closed in the last 5 years aTm. That was entirely due to declining enrollment. Those that remain do everything they can to get as many fannies in the seats (in many cases by decreasing admission requirements.) This is just the search for protein. At the moment, those fannies are female, not male.

Those females that borrow whatever they need, if they were just working on their MRS degree then they never really had any intention of paying off the debt. That is main reason why there is so much of it and why so many students are making interest only payments. Delay and defer the debt until someone else comes along to make them whole. In this case, their husband is Joe Biden.

East Palestine is becoming the new Flint. Anyone else noticing how local governments are actively avoiding any responsibility just like corporations? What could this all mean brahs?

Almost all government is local. A reality TV show depicts the crime and the police department in Flint Michigan (a city of 100,000 and declining.) The police department had 98 officers (down from 300.) That is less than 1 cop per 1000 residents.

Anyway, the people of Flint thought just voting out mayors and voting in new mayors would fix shit. And all the mayor would do is fire the old Chief of Police and hire a new Chief of Police. And nothing would change. Crime and murder and rape and theft were still through the roof in Flint (compounded by the water problem.) So yes, local government avoids any responsibility since their "response" is just to fire and re-hire first responders if everything is in perpetual, crisis mode.

It's almost like the big political parties are corporations themselves, even tho they aren't. I mean...they aren't, right?

Another example is Washington DC. When Mayor Fenty was elected in Nov of 2006, that was on the promise that he would improve the performance of the schools. And on his first day on the job, he hired Michelle Rhee Chancellor of Washington DC schools. She asked him how fast was she to go and he said faster than anything she even thought. Well, the first few days the people of DC loved Rhee because she was very public and talked a big game. But THEN she started to take action to actually fix the schools. And the way she fixed it was shutting down pointless schools with almost no enrollment, firing principals, firing administration, and firing everyone. She couldn't fire the teachers (but she really wanted to) because their jobs were protected by a union. So she had to trim and correct in every other way possible. And in doing so she alienated the community that loved her since it was THEIR people who got fired, THEIR schools that got shut down, THIER lives that were turned upside down. The people of DC wanted action, wanted things to change, just so long as things remained the same for them. They were part of the problem.

Fenty lost re-election in November of 2010, and on the new mayor's first day, Rhee was fired. So, yeah. Local government is pretty much useless to make changes if the people that live there, live shitty lives by expecting everything to be done for them but they don't have to change anything.

Donald Trump arraignment oddsmakers offer bets on how much he will weigh at Georgia booking

One bookmaker has set the over/under on Trump's weight at 273.5 pounds

As the deadline for Donald Trump to surrender for booking in Georgia looms, online sportsbooks are going wild with proposition bets on everything from his tie color to his body weight at booking.

One bookmaker site, Antigua-based BetOnline, on Friday offered an over/under of 273.5 pounds for Trump's weight upon his surrender to authorities in Fulton County, noted gambling news Instagram account TheJuice.

According to BetOnline employee Dave Mason, 77 percent of gamblers have taken the over bet on Trump's weight so far, spurring the sportsbook to increase the total by eight pounds.

Will Folk is hoping she gets the nomination so that he can get some attention for his claims about having had an affair with Halley and Halley's extra-marital issues from her time in the state senate. He probably needs the page clicks since the Murdaugh shit has died down.
