When I was nine, I came to school one day and saw my teacher crying and hugging another teacher. She said (with tears in her eyes) Reagan won last night! We are all going to die in a nuclear war! Why am I teaching these kids????
About 3 seconds later, the person she was hugging, pointed at me staring at the two of them, and she stopped speaking and crying and tried to smile. The nine year old that I was (well, almost ten) just kept looking at the two of them with no expression on my face. And I shrugged my shoulders and asked my teacher if I still had to do my homework tonight.
