To say nothing of the fact that losing to West Virginia saved you the embarrassment of another FF implosion against a weak ass Dook team...

At that time, we were counting our two national championships and multiple FF appearances since the last time UK had been to the FF...

If Cal doesn't win it all this year, he gets the official "coach who has done less with more" title...

Are we going to start this Kentucky vs North Carolina argument again? How many thousands of times do we have to fight this battle?

Loved the 60 Minutes piece on the extent Duke goes to cheat. It's not just basketball.

How does Dook shoot 29 3's and yet three State players foul out, while State shoots only 11 3's and no Dook player fouls out?

Just glancing at the box score, I'd say they fouled out a bunch of guys because of lack of depth. They only played 8 guys. They outrebounded Duke by 8 (39-31) and yet Duke had 10 more field goal attempts, that means even bombing away Duke still took 40 two point attempts, while NC State took 48. NC State had way too many posessions where they didnt even take a shot compared to Duke just looking at the turnover number. (15 to 5)

Duke also probably got the standard amount of home cooking (or maybe the refs were firmly in their corner, didnt watch the game).

20 point lead with 11 plus minutes left:
7 fouls, 4 Turnovers, 5 offensive rebounds, 0 Three-pt'ers, 2 lay-ups (one a tip in) (and ton of missed shots) by NC State,
5 fouls, 0 turnovers, 4 offensive rebounds, 4 Three-pt'ers, 4 lay-ups by Duke.

Yeah, but when 3 of those NC State fouls send yet another starter to the bench for good, they affect the game more than those Dook fouls that don't have as much impact...

All three players fouled out after Duke took the lead. Leslie and Williams both fouled out with what look like strategic fouls to stop the cloack and extend the game at the end (Williams fouling out with 2 seconds left).

I saw this on IC:
"Charlotte Christian is chalked full of college players as well"
Chalked full? I always thought it was chock full. Not that I know what that means either, but still...
