I don't think that would work, and I'm serious when I say its not about goals. I just want to play her best when she is on the field. I can't stand half ass effort when you are a member of a team.
I do give her money for grades though.

"I do give her money for grades though."
Is that effective? If so, why not use it with lacrosse?

because its a team sport. I don't want her shooting and not passing trying to make $100 a game
this is more about why are you putting in all this time at practice and games - one or the other 6 days a week, taking up at least 3 hours every day - if you're just going to half ass it?
That's a concept I can't grasp

"because its a team sport."
If she's scoring, that's good for the team...

Tell her that she's ruining her life by half-assing it out there and that you're deeply ashamed of her.

Also, I like the term "half-ass" as much as eCat seems to, which is appropriate considering the other thread.

Nah. Can't go to her friends. She'd never forgive you.

Bring out a spoon and a syringe and some white powder (doesn't have to be heroin, it's just for effect) and throw it on the table and say "Here, you might as well start doing this, b/c with the way you're playing, this is where you're heading"...

Next time she says she wants to quit the lacrosse team, say "What are you going to do, join the heroin team?"

I meant to tell this to AA
last week when I was in Mobile, I cleaned out the garage for my MIL, who was married to this guy, lets just call him Husband number 5 of 6 and still counting, who was an Alzheimers scientist (oddly that's what killed him).
Anyways, this shit has been packed away in a garage for like 10 years and we're going thru it and I'm throwing out some high dollar shit that you can't sell at a yard sale - like this heavy ass brain slicing machine and something called a vibratone. Boxes of this shit - I bet I threw away $10K worth of it because we had no idea how to sell it. We did end up with some cool breaking bad chemistry set stuff. We're going to put bourbon in the 500ml flasks with glass stoppers (once we clean them - don't want any Alzheimers shit floating around ).
That's got to be weird, being an Alzheimers scientist with Alzheimers. I would suspect you wouldn't get very far in your work.

I would have donated them to U. South Al or a large local HS or JUCO. Tax write off.
