Why not just use an iPod? Not enough space?

What do you know about cloud servers? This dude standing in line behind me at the Hirshhorn Museum in DC was telling me about his 8TB Western Digital cloud server. He loaded all his photos and tunes on it and can access it with any wifi device or his cell phone. It only cost $300.

do you need 8TB?

I'd just use whatever free you get with Google cloud - open up 10 gmail accounts.

  • You are a CIO
  • You have ZERO BUDGET for file servers, ZERO BUDGET for any hardware outside of a lap top in each cube
  • You have a CEO that demands everything be done or its your ass
  • You have (really) no options other than the cloud
A lot of mom and pop shops (even the bigger outfits) are forced to entrust Google with their stuff because they don't have any money to buy something to put their stuff... "in." There are a few other options for the cloud, but people do that because they need to get away from the data-center concept of Information Technology. So long as you don't do like what Jennifer Lawrence and Hope Solo did, you are probably not going to regret it.

Probably but I wouldn't trust Google or any other company if I didn't trust the gov't too (which I don't).

so for Xmas I bought my kids new cell phones - I decided on an unlocked Moto G4 which has all the features and what not they wanted and cost me like $189

today I ordered a Blu R1 HD phone from Amazon with ads for $60.

I currently have a Samsung S4 that is running Android 4.4. It has 8gb of memory and its full, and all the fixed stuff has it where I can't add any more apps.

This $60 phone has 16gb of memory but it also has Android 6.0. With Android 6.0 you can put a 64gb memory card in and you can tell the phone to treat it like internal memory giving you 80gb of memory give or take, so I also bought a 64gb micro SD card for $19.

This phone is about the same specs as my 4 year old Samsung S4 but the S4 does everything I want it to do, except Samsung won't update it to 6.0.

The Samsung is superior in just about every way but its worthless to me at this point trying to run multiple apps, but for $60, this phone is more than adequate.

The downside is it only works with AT&T and I think T-Mobile.

lol, it is shocking how far they've come.

We're gonna have personal robot assistants before long. Humanity is doomed. We will become Homer Simpson with the helper monkey.
