interesting piece on 60 minutes about the Crossfit guy. Couldn't even tell you his name but he's made some serious bank on Crossfit and coupling up with Reebok.

I've heard alot of negatives about Crossfit but its hard to argue with the shape of the people who take it seriously. They look like comic book super heroes.

Now will they have blown out knees and vertebrae when they are in their 50's? That is the question that makes him keep 80 lawyers on retainer.

And its worth noting the guy blew his pelvis out doing gymnastics and walks with a permanent limp

Crossfit is too dangerous imo, as it doesn't spend the proper time making sure proper form is practiced throughout.

It is effective, however...and just as much of a cult as Soul Cycle.

It's a sham, basically marketing the same type of "exercise" that people who do manual labor perform every day, except without the cigarettes and at a breakneck pace.

That sounds like your exercise regimen, except without the manual labor and breakneck pace...

My exercise regimen is getting off the couch, which admittedly leaves me short of breath at times.

I have some Lagavulin in my cabinet. I'll pour some so we can share a wee dram tho the miles between us are great.
