Meanwhile back to the mystery that is "Who blew up the Nordstream Pipeline?"

US State Department spokesman Ned Price back in 2022 - "The idea that the United States was in any way involved in the apparent sabotage of these pipelines is preposterous."

Now, listen to this back and forth last week and is there any question on who blew up the pipeline? Both parties want us in a war we shouldn't be a part of.

We should definitely be part of it. Best war ever...

We are not in it yet.

It took us 27 months to get involved in World War II, and we only pulled the trigger after they sunk 4 battleships. I don't see the will of the people supporting any US military involvement in the war in Ukraine. So, I'll believe it when I see it. You are correct, this is a war we should not be part of.

I was reading some reports that say that Russia is destroying Ukranian infrastructure faster than they can rebuild and its only a matter of time before the country is unable to sustain any semblance of an industrial nation. at least as far as Russian vital targets are concerned.

Americans support for Ukraine has been operating under the assumption that with a united supply chain Ukraine would prevail, or at least create a stalemate for Russia

What happens when Russia gets the upper hand in this - Is the US and Europe going to concede half of Ukraine to Russia in a truce? That would be a horrendous waste of American dollars and resources for a losing effort.

That's the thing. The only thing that can stop the Russians in Ukraine is the Russian people themselves. Eventually, Russia will wear the Ukrainians down, and then what?

so its possible you have Biden going into the election year with the US going into a recession (we probably already are but it takes a quarter to realize it), Russia annexing Ukraine with us funneling billions of dollars into them with nothing to show for it except sky high fuel costs for Europe and to a slightly lesser extent America and dept running at 130% of GDP. Economist believe that real growth is only possible at 90% or below and there is no way we will ever get it to 90% again unless we radically start taxing Americans and implement severe austerity measures. Now in the last one Biden isn't blameless on it, but with control of the house and essentially the senate, they just willing passed a bloated spending bill so they are saying they condone it.

I personally think as much as Biden ginned up the support for Ukraine, its going to be a severe hit to him to watch Russia overtake them during an election year and America have to pull support rather than risk WWIII

assuming Biden is willing to do that and doesn't see himself as the next FDR.

I think the dems want exit strategy for Biden ASAP

Thank God someone in Congress is thinking about the important things like whether or not to say and/or who leads the Pledge of Allegience. Those Congressmen are so cute like 5 year olds in homeroom.
