Yeah, Hedge can't be helping the cause too much. But he's got to be more than offset by how much their athletes are getting paid.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

engineering degrees probably skew the numbers. At State, not UNC.

If by "skew" you mean core curriculum then yes.

It's gonna suck not to see the rematch between Johnny Football and Bama's defense.

"You realize State grads make more money on average then U*NC grads right?"

Ah, just like a State grad to keep his eye on the average...

Want to compare top end? Jim Goodnight.

He definitely brings your average up. Get rid of him and SAS (employer of large amounts of State grads at nice paying jobs) and that "average" probably gets bumped down by about $10K. At any rate, I could name quite a few UNC grads who are/were hedge fund principals who you've probably never heard of. Most of them not quite in Goodnight's range, it's true, but there's plenty of em. FWIW, Goodnight's youngest daughter (a lovely girl, BTW) is married to one of my fraternity brothers. Hey, if you can't beat em, join em....

We have Sara Blakely (Spanx) - she's not worth as much as SASman but she's a shit-ton nicer to look at.

I used to say Hugh Culverhouse. He died, so I don't know who our richest living alum is now. Probably Sammy DiPiazza - but that's just a WAG.

Apparently Johnny Manziel will be suspended for the first half of A&M's season opening game vs Rice, ostensibly for signing large numbers of autographs which he knew would be sold for profit. Secondary violation of NCAA bylaw 12.5.2.2

Harsh but fair.

1/2 a game?? That's not fair. Don't suspend him at all.

Well, I'm sure he would have only played one half against Rice anyway...

Texas A&M has sold out every ticket reservation and collected 10 year capital gift commitments for every seat (except student seating, visiting fans, athletic department/athlete/faculty/staff seating) for the opening of the new 102,500 seat Kyle Field in 2015 with a waiting list of several thousand.

After an intensive 2 week investigation on Google the NCAA concludes there's simply no evidence Johnny was ever paid for an autograph. He just signed thousands of them, for one dude, for free. Meanwhile the 3-year long investigation into Miami continues as the NCAA bunkers down and becomes even more determined to find something, ANYTHING, that will nail that program to the wall.

The selective enforcement of the rules is pathetic.

I've known that for 20 years. It's time to put the NCAA down like Ol' Yeller.

Clowney, Bridgewater, Miller all have hundreds to thousands of sequentially authenticated items available to look up on JSA/PSA etc. the NCAA will be happy to let this go to bed and hope they dont have to start this sideshow plus half game suspensions for every star player.

They selectively enforce and have for decades. Whether they let Johnny go or cruicified him has nothing to do with what they prosecute or ignore in the future.

Anyway, good for him. Glad he was cleared.

I know this will sound paranoid but look who's division Miami and GT play in.
