Thanks to an eleventh-hour official visit, North Carolina has added a high-three-star defensive lineman to its commitment list just before the Early Signing Period. Rodney Lora pledged to the Tar Heels on Tuesday afternoon.

UNC initially offered Lora, a 6-foot-4, 270-pounder from Woodberry Forest (Va.) School, in late March. But Lora committed to Virginia on June 24 and communication between the two faded over the summer. Lora decommitted from UVa on Sept. 24, and after compiling impressive senior season film, the Heels' interest was revived earlier this month. That led to an official visit scheduled for this past weekend.

"I think [the UNC official] definitely made a huge impact," Lora told Inside Carolina. "It was amazing. The players are funny and great, the campus is beautiful and the academics are fantastic, everything about it was great."

They don't wanna get murdered just to play football. UNC is probably the safest University on the planet. Easy choice.
