at the spring game tailgate a few players who have now graduated came by (my daughter and son both bartended at Applebee's and know several of them) - most said Trickett knows the book backwards and forwards but doesn't like to get hit and will throw it away quicker than Winston or Coker (after some of EJ's bonehead sacks and fumbles that may not be a bad thing) but that Winston was far and away the best athlete of all the QBs

"et tu, dmvn?"

That would've been better as "et tu, Nostre? Then fall, Cephus!"

Interesting fact on Tomahawk Nation today - if Snaer is drafted (NBA), it will make 5 straight years that a Nole has been drafted. We have the longest streak in the ACC and the third longest in the nation.

looking forward to the Pitt game - I expect the Noles to win but think it will be pretty tightly contested

- both teams start a new QB so early nerves could lead to mistakes for both sides

- Pitt has more returning starters on D than the Noles but the Noles have more raw talent (at least on paper)

- the edge overall may be who has the better special teams - I know the Noles have a ton of speed but haven't read anything about Pitt that says they are better than average

- odds this morning have FSU as a 10.5 point favorite - I'll be happy with a win, period.

10.5 seems pretty strong, but a blowout win, close win, or close loss wouldn't surprise me. I don't think their offense is explosive enough to blow us out.

Our defense will be fun to watch as it's very raw but I bet we have as many 4 and 5 star recruits on that side of the ball as anybody outside the SEC. I almost want us to win a close game with Jameis struggling because if he goes out and has a 21-28, 350yd, 3TD performance he'll become even more of a Black Jesus than he is already, and that could be bad. I really like the kid though, probably moreso than any since Weinke and maybe Chollie.

9-9 with 2 TDs? So far I like this Winston kid.

Lord knows you need some talent.

Winston has figured out how to keep O'Leary from fumbling - just throw him TD passes.

Ri-fucking-dic-u-lous performance.

Looking at your schedule, I don't see a ton of great defenses. He ought to have a banner year.

Clemson and UF on the road will be very tough, and Miami has decent starters but no depth. There's no way he repeats this performance this year, including against the patsies. The defense has to get better.

But this team has talent and if Winston can continue to take what the defense gives, we're going to score some points. We're not an M(?)NC or bust type of team this year but another ACC Championship and 10-11 regular season wins will set us up for a potential run in the next couple of years.

Florida's D will be very good. Clemson's D looked pretty shaken in their win over Uga, didn't they?

Their defense is crap statistically and looked average against UGA. They'll be bringing their "A" game for what should decide a berth in the ACCCG. They've had worse defenses that looked good against us, and our O-line is not good enough (and never will be under Trickett) to let us take advantage of Clemson effectively.

Plus it's a tough place to play where we haven't won in a while.
