LOL at "infection rates." The vaccine was massively effective at keeping people from dying (vs. people who were unvaccinated) once they got covid. Luckily it was mostly red state Trumpsters that died, so that's a net gain for humanity...

LOL, what do you reckon we spent in Iraq and Afghanistan, adjusted to today's dollars, and for what? To say nothing of not having a single American boot on the ground in Ukraine. We've spent a relative pittance to expose the Russian military as a Potemkin village on the world stage, not to mention the actual material losses. And yes, Russia is still very much our enemy. I certainly look forward to the day when they are not, but they are now. Hopefully not much longer, thanks to our current actions...

Why does eCat love Russia?

The Russian people should be natural allies of the west. Yes, they are a cold and gloomy people, as you would expect from a race on the edge of western civilization, but they're certainly every bit as much European in terms of culture and blood as any of the Nordic countries. Yes, you have to question something in their national soul that they let themselves be duped and brought to their knees by what would become the Soviet party, but I guess they weren't much better off under the czars. The beef with Russia has always been about their authoritarian government, not the people, and Putin is totally a creature of the worst elements of the Soviet apparatus. Once he and it are gone, maybe Russia can join the real world. I'd welcome them...

It's possible. We know everything the MSM tells us about war and economic stuff is probably a lie, but because there's not a lot of established precedent for vaccine propaganda, it's harder to sort out.

That was certainly jumping the gun on that claim about not being able to be infected if you were vaccinated, but the death toll of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated is just raw data, not speculation. Citing Rachel Maddow reporting something that turned out not to be the case as evidence that it might not be true that vaccinated people died from covid at a far lesser rate than unvaccinated people did (and still do) is inapt at best and, really, laughably weak...

the bigger concern isn't that Rachel Maddow reported it, its that our government actively worked to marginalize anyone that disagreed with her. They prevented any open dissention against it.

And at the time you would have been on here spouting what she said as gospel just like you're trying to justify the raw data numbers now.

That's not debatable. And if we know the government was actively pursuing their own agenda, not based on open discussion but on the narrative they wanted to push, then how can anyone say anything about raw data with any level of belief of it being accurate? I know you don't have that much faith in our government.
