It wouldn't surprise me if McCarthy eventually and repeatedly debases and emasculates himself enough that he gets just enough votes to become Speaker. But it will be a true Pyrrhic victory, as he will have given away nearly all of the power of his office and will be a mere slave to the whims of the "Freedom Caucus". A single member will be able to call for his removal at any time, which will likely be often, and he will be unable to oppose them on anything without having a vote on whether he should remain as Speaker. I just don't see any way this will work for more than a few months, if not weeks or even days. Lauren Boebert alone will likely disrupt everything he does and call for votes on his remaining as Speaker just so she can stay in the social media spotlight, which is all these people care about. So even if he somehow pulls through it's still going to be chaos and a constant shitshow probably every single week.

When will the Fed realize they can't beat down employment inflation by raising rates. They are applying an old method to a new problem, that of shrinking demographic of working age adults. By raising rates they are destroying the economy and harming tech firms who are usually the innovators of worker efficiency technologies.
