Si habitas en Tejas, debes hablar mucho Espanol.

And congratulations to President Obama for the US drone strike that eventually led to the whacking of Khaddafi. Obama has killed more high-ranking terrorists than W ever did. Obama should be a darling of the neocons.

That was a funny joke. I thought it clever. Then upon going into the article, I realized Trump was serious.

A Russian accent? Hmmm. That's funny. Much like my Italian accented Spanish, you've got to wonder why or how.

I, for one, have given Obama credit since Day One of his administration for continuing George W. Bush's policies in the GWOT. I do, however, find it amusing that Obama's supporters are so proud of his accomplishments in this area -- considering how they lambasted Dubya and the so-called neo-cons for doing the same thing.

You would think that our Spanish would have Scottish and Irish accents - the old DNA coming out and all.

Other than keeping GITMO open I don't see much of oprama following in dubya's GWOT bootprints.

Bush took us to war in Afghanistan/Obama is winding our operation down there (albeit slowly)

Bush took us to war in Iraq/Obama ended the military operations there

Bush put bin Laden on the back burner/Obama has him burning in Hell

Bush made nice with Ghaddafi/again with the burning

Thomas Sowell and Herman Cain playing racial politics...stressing that Obama is not "black enough". If this were coming from the Left attacking Herman Cain, PNN would be in an uproar.

Damn I wish I had seen this live. Oh well.

Letterman and O'Reilly Share High Five that Iraq War Shouldn't Have Happened
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtra ... erman.html

It all began when O'Reilly explained that Dick Cheney refuses to appear on his show because "he thinks I'm a punk, essentially."

"I think Cheney is a punk," Letterman countered.

Given the opportunity, O'Reilly would like to confront Cheney about his now-infamous assertion that the U.S. would be greeted as liberators in Iraq. "Were you wrong? Why was the assessment this way?"

Letterman agreed, and pushed O'Reilly even further: "Also, we didn't really solve the problem of terrorism. In fact we made Iraq a hotbed of terrorism that heretofore likely wasn't a hotbed of terrorism."

Somewhat miraculously, O'Reilly agreed that the war was something that shouldn't have happened in hindsight

For those who missed it, there was a streaker dressed as a ref at the UCLA-Arizona game last night. His storming the field inspired UCLA and Arizona to have a bench-clearing brawl.

Oh yes, more than double, but those kids earned it.

Sounds like other people are having trouble with kids not wanting to work. My goodness 15 dollars an hour for part time work and you still can't find anyone to do it?

Hell that's way more than I made as a resident. I was up to 13 bucks an hour as chief, and as an intern I made 9.95 per hour.

Looks like they can't even get high school kids to pick apples for 15 bucks an hour.
My 16 year old charges $25 a yard with the 6 yards he mows in our neighborhood that are about 1/2 acre and it only takes him an hour so your $15 an hour may be below market, especially during school year. If it was summer, he may do it because he has extra time, but during school year when work hours are limited? Forget it.
-

Hang on Sardis...I've owned a small lawn service, and that is a contract price between 2 willing parties. Out of that $25, he pays for fuel, equipment, transportation, and taxes... how about worker comp? You know... a business...

And if he's cutting a 1/2 acre yard, trimming, edging, cutting hedges, and blowing off the driveway and patios for $25, he's undercharging for himself and undercutting other businessmen in the area.

Or does he use your equipment, your mower and mix gas, and have 100% profit?

Either way, I believe I'm the one who came up with this $15 / hr for picking apples. I don't remember the original poster, but someone posted a link saying the Washington growers were having a hard time getting pickers due to the crack down on illegals. Some had even offered 150 per day. Asking how long the day was, that's still 15 / hr for a 10 hour day.

That farmer still has to pay workers comp, cause sure as shit some illegal will sprain an ankle and not be able to be deported.

So we will be out of Iraq by the end of the year. That is good. Nine years there has been WAAAAAY more than enough.

But then comes the hard part. After we leave, I'm afraid Iraq will look like South Vietnam after we left there.

I'd be happy if we left Afghanistan by year's end too. Karzai's corrupt regime isn't worth a single US dollar or drop of US blood.

Who cares what happens to Iraq. We never should have been there in the first place. Iraq would have been just another Libya, Egypt, etc. (Arab spring) had we waited. We should have been in Mexico instead controlling what effects America most.
