"Comey steps over the lines and tell America that Hillary doesn't have any prosecutable actions"

Is that seriously your takeaway? Talk about "you're better than this." Less than 2 weeks before the election Comey announces he's reopening an investigation into Hillary's emails, and then, after letting this new "investigation" dominate the news cycle for over a week, he announces (like literally a 2 days before the election, when the damage of the FBI reopening an investigation into one of the candidates had already been done), that they found no evidence to change its previous decision not to charge Clinton. And your takeaway from that is that Comey "stepped over the line" in a way that inappropriately helped Hillary? Jesus christ man, maybe we aren't living on the same planet...

Pretending that the FBI is or was “Comey” in any sense is an exercise in futility. The FBI has something like 40,000 employees. It’s an enterprise on a scale similar to Apple or Exxon. The FBI is a self motivating entity of its own like any agency or corporation. How many thousands of middle and upper managers all trying to stamp their own bullshit on whoever they can manage to get under their boot heel. Sure Comey was involved in the Hillary thing, because it was the most important thing going, and he likely fucked it from six ways to Sunday but that’s probably just because he’s an idiot standard political appointee who will trip over their own toes when any real situation happens that he has to deal with because it’s become too big for the organization to handle itself.

Doesn't matter. Trump lost. We're on to New England.

"I know he can't, he has a fiduciary responsibility to his investors, which is why he is stepping down as CEO"

I thought he was stepping down b/c he posted a poll on Twitter asking users to decide if he should step down or not. Sounds like a great way to run a company. Into the ground...

I don't care if it helped or hurt Hillary

He isn't a prosecutor or the AG, its not his place to decide what is prosecutable or not.

At any rate, your perception of this should make you want to break up the FBI as much as anyone, not support them.

Also, it appears you are implying that something as benign as emails on a computer would have some effect on the election, yet you bray every chance you get in regards to how meaningless Hunter's laptop is.

He will be stepping down regardless what that poll said, that's just his way of messing with people. Tesla stock is tanking and I'm sure his investors are telling him to stop playing with his new toy and get back to work.

interesting quote from Comey too

Comey in his book devotes considerable ink to his thinking during the investigation, and writes: “I have replayed the Clinton email case hundreds of times in my mind. Other than mistakes in the way I presented myself in the July 5 public statements in front of the television cameras, I am convinced that if I could do it all again,

what mistake do you think he's talking about?

I don't know. Saying that Hillary hadn't committed any prosecutable offenses? Maybe it wasn't his place to say that (if that's what you're talking about), but it certainly had the benefit of being true...

I feel bad for Roth. Reading that whole chain, 1-45, shows he was pushing back on the FBI requests repeatedly. They just wore him down. Musk made it seem like he had a liberal agenda and was eagerly cooperating with the FBI.

Also, the chain shows how the FBI infiltrated Twitter with alumni who had their own dedicated chat room.
