I think it's great that more and more people are taking my advice and taking camcorders to the OWS rallies, letting the protesters express themselves, and putting them on youtube to for all the world to see. (The youtube part is vital in order to bypass the MSM coverup and truth embargo.)

They are mostly loonies who still live with their parents - parents who have jobs, bathe regularly, don't publicly urinate, could pass a drug test, and understand basic economics in the real world.

Oh yes, more than double, but those kids earned it.

Sounds like other people are having trouble with kids not wanting to work. My goodness 15 dollars an hour for part time work and you still can't find anyone to do it?

Hell that's way more than I made as a resident. I was up to 13 bucks an hour as chief, and as an intern I made 9.95 per hour.

Looks like they can't even get high school kids to pick apples for 15 bucks an hour.

Damn inflation. I started at 16,000 per year and 104 hours a week to get to 26,000 and 80 to 85 hours per week as a chief 4 years later (and this was after the east coast strike in the mid-70's).

My 16 year old charges $25 a yard with the 6 yards he mows in our neighborhood that are about 1/2 acre and it only takes him an hour so your $15 an hour may be below market, especially during school year. If it was summer, he may do it because he has extra time, but during school year when work hours are limited? Forget it.

Yard mowin and hourly are different "markets" or they were when I was growing up. You mowed yards for "contract". "I'll mow your yard for X amount of money" but you worked on farms for hourly wage. Minimum wage was the farm wage or if you were good then you could get a little more than minimum wage.

Illegal Mexicans charge much less.

The illegals in my area want $10 an hour and a meal. Doesn't have to be fancy (for a full day's work, get each of them a $5 Little Ceasar's Pizza - which is a huge huge hit). I guess I could 'scot' that price down a bit, but I've never tried. And that wage has been the same since 2009.

That's slightly above minmum, but they work their asses off.

That, in a nutshell, is why no conservative Republican politician has ever lifted a finger to stop illegal immigration. It's too good for business.

Oh, and they are genuinely impressed that I speak Spanish. Apparently, that's not too common in Alabama in this area.

Although one told me one time something along the lines of: "senor, usted habla espanol como si de Italia" - which essentially means I speak Spanish like an Itallian would. Wasn't sure if that is a compliment or an insult, so I screamed
"volver al trabajo!" (Get back to work!)

Cultural exchanges like that could be a thing of the past thanks to Alabama's "turn all white people into INS agents" law.

Thank goodness for the Feds and DOJ stepping in

The Alabama law was probably too over-reaching. Something, however, has to be done to curb the tide of undocumenteds.

Nah. They are filling our schools and ERs, though. And with all of them being paid under the table, they aren't contributing to the state or federal tax base.

That is dumbassery on an epic scale. Not to mention the irony.

It'll be even more hilarious if her employee practices lawyer is named Schwartz or Goldman.
