"someone who sold their integrity to a lobbyist 20 years ago and has been living inside the beltline most of their adult life."
That's the boy 20 years from now...
I would consider that a success

regardless of what happens, you can't win without Florida
and unless Trump and DeSantis call a truce where Florida voters aren't pissed (meaning Trump bullied DeSantis into not running) then Trump won't carry Florida.
Its a bad strategy but he is so arrogant he won't care
Biden says suck it.

He's got 2 years to fuck over Florida. He'll figure out a way. Dark Brandon is always lurking.

I made sure I wasn’t bragging prematurely on the poll numbers because I had a bad feeling about them. Trump got battered and I hope people see that Trump will cause us to lose in 2024 and support DeSantis instead. I also hope the other ne’er-do-wells of the Republican Party, who always seem to run in the primary, choose not to run in risk of diluting the sane vote in the primary.

I'm extremely confident that these hundreds of brainwashed cult members - oh, excuse me, "ne'er-do-wells" (how cute and cuddly you make them sound) - are going to come to their senses and bow out of the primaries in favor of the 2 dozen members of the sane wing of the party...

Damn. The youth vote in Arizona is 70-30 Democrat. I can see IB running down his street right now yelling at the Hippie kids to get out of the park. It's dark!

And this is from the NY Post..
Here’s how Donald Trump sabotaged the Republican midterms
Hey, Lyin’ Ted and Sleepy Joe: Meet Toxic Trump. You know, if the former president had any self-knowledge or even the slightest ability to be self-deprecating, he might consider giving himself this alliterative nickname.
After three straight national tallies in which either he or his party or both were hammered by the national electorate, it’s time for even his stans to accept the truth:
Toxic Trump is the political equivalent of a can of Raid.
What Tuesday night’s results suggest is that Trump is perhaps the most profound vote repellent in modern American history.
The surest way to lose in these midterms was to be a politician endorsed by Trump.
This is not hyperbole.
Except for deep-red states where a Republican corpse would have beaten a Democrat, voters choosing in actually competitive races — who everyone expected would behave like midterm voters usually do and lean toward the out party — took one look at Trump’s handpicked acolytes and gagged.
Liberal fundraisers actually put money behind Trump-endorsed candidates in GOP primaries all over the place to help them prevail so that Democrats could face them in the general election. It was transparently cynical and an abuse of our political process. But it worked like gangbusters...
Independents made the difference then and they made the difference on Tuesday. They didn’t want to keep hearing about voter fraud that didn’t exist,
or about how the world had done wrong to a multibillionaire boo-hoo whiner who lost his re-election bid due to his own incompetence.
Voters have their own problems. This election was about them,
not Toxic Trump’s pathological inability to accept his own failure — and his desperate need to elevate cringe-inducing boot-lickers while punishing politicians capable of an independent thought.
