Tonight's not going to be as fun as the 2000 election. Mainly b/c I won't be able to jack off to Tim Russert....

I'm not sure politicians are supposed to be "reforming the media".

Which lake is Kari anyway? My money's on Eerie.

Hedge you can always go to bat against Tim Russ instead. After all the Vulcan sign is nothing more than a cutting-edge shocker.

But validity has little to do with it at this point (or something)...

I love Herschel Walker. Dude played RB, TE, WR, and returned kicks. Probably threw a TD pass or two also. I trust him more than any mainstream politician.

I wish the GOP had a better candidate than Walker

Frankly I'm stunned he is winning at the moment

There's nothing better than football dude. He's fast, strong, smart, and ferocious. Okay maybe not smart but the other 3 hold.

well the good news for "Beto" O'Rourke is he can start running for president in 2024. Maybe he'll raise $100m in a failed attempt this time around

I'm glad I'm settled in for Civil War II. All I need is a boat.

"Alice isn’t wrong."

Considering the historical midterm waves by the party opposite of a first term president, I'd say Alice was very wrong. Repubs are going to pick up a few seats in the House, but nothing like what you usually see from the opposition party in the midterm of a first term president. Of course the major losers were the candidates Trump was supporting the loudest. But yeah, repubs, keep him front and center of your party, that's a great strategy. Hell, maybe that's why MSNBC and CNN won't stop talking about him, the longer he stays the face of the republican party, the worse they do. And now he's fixin to officially announce he's running in 2024. Perfect...

And, if you look at the abortion referendum on the ballot in Kentucky (Kentucky!), it appears Alice is wrong again. If Kentucky votes to uphold abortion rights in a statewide election, there's your recipe in other states whose legislatures want to restrict it: Keep it off the fucking ballot at all costs and for God's sake do NOT allow the voters to decide the issue via statewide referendum, b/c it's the biggest loser ever, irregardless of the nutcases people are prepared to vote for otherwise. Sorry, Alice (whoever the fuck you are). Huge night for abortion rights when it's left to actual citizens to decide by direct vote. If abortion restriction is a loser in Kentucky, it's a loser everywhere. Whew...

And, oh yeah, as a little side note, nothing massive, just another minor victory for the dems, it looks like they're going to hold the Senate even without that retard from Georgia. How excited and motivated do you think republican Georgia voters are going to be to slog out to the polls again next month to vote for a retarded national embarrassment in a runoff when they know it's not going to make any difference anyway? I'd say about as excited as they are when the Bulldogs lose an SEC championship game. At any rate, that'll give Biden 2 more years to stack the federal judiciary unimpeded.

Huge night for the dems. And now we've got Trump's reelection announcement to look forward to, and 2 solid years of him sucking the oxygen out of the room for any other republican candidate at any level or for any reasonable republican message whatsoever, hopefully on Twitter. That's the biggest dem victory of all...

And, nearest and dearest to my heart, 2 more states legalize recreational marijuana (Maryland and Missouri). North Dakota and Arkansas rejected it. Oh well, that's more than 12 million Americans that can now smoke weed legally. Oh yeah, and Colorado legalized shrooms. Yee-haw!!

the red wave fizzled because you have candidates like Walker and Oz instead of political animals who know how to run a competent campaign

The economy topped abortion
