I just needed you to dignify the point I was making about those 10,000,000 foreclosures. They did not happen in a vacuum. I would say in most cases, they happened simply because people couldn't flip a house and didn't like being "upside down" on the loan. To me, that is not a good enough excuse to ruin the US economy, you selfish assholes.

Yes you are correct. It must be "weird" to someone like yourself to communicate with someone who demands borrowers to be responsible for the loans that they take out (of their own free will.) Neither Bank of America nor Countrywide held a gun to heads of these people demanding that they sign on the dotted line. Don't ever forget that rat.

When you owe the bank $100,000, that's your problem. When you owe the bank $100 million, it's their problem...

Trump's appointed special counsel has another humiliating day in court as judge tosses some charges

On Friday, the judge tossed out five counts that Durham brought against Danchenko, NBC News reported.

“The government has failed to introduce that requisite evidence,” said Judge Anthony Trenga.

On Wednesday, Durham opened his case by calling senior FBI intelligence analyst Brian Auten, who oversaw the early part of the Russia probe. Over the course of the two-day testimony, Auten testified that there was information that Danchenko didn't share with the FBI that could have aided their case.

When the Danchenko lawyers were able to ask questions on Thursday, they highlighted previous testimony given years ago that flew in the face of Durham's characterization, as CNN explained.

Auten previously called Danchenko “truthful” and “assisted” when it came to his work with the Russia probe. He said having Danchenko as an FBI source was “one of the best things that came out of” the Russia probe.

It was such a blow to Durham that he re-directed his own witness and asked that the court declare him a "hostile witness." One of the frequently quoted adages from legal experts is that you never ask questions to your witness that you don't know the answer to.

Everything Trump touches dies. Add Durham's reputation to that list...

No one person who welshed on a mortgage in 2008 owed $100 mil. Collectively, certainly. But Each person that chose to welsh, made a decision entirely for themselves and their own greedy selfishness.

How many former friends did you "alienate" in 2008 because they refused to pay a mortgage when you knew that they could? Or do you even have any friends?

Of course I was referring to the "collectively" when I posted that quote about owing the bank $100 million. Of course, the number was actually in the billions (if not trillions), but that only further illustrates the truth of the quote. Of course you still don't get it, do you, you idiot...

you have no numbers, no facts, no nothing. and you call ME the idiot? shame on you

in 2008 there was
  • $11 trillion in residential mortgages
  • $3 trillion in commercial mortgages
  • that is $14 trillion in mortgages
  • we had a 4.5% default rate (numbers vary depending on the source you link)
  • that is $630 billion dollars that was "welshed" (collectively)
Congress "invested" $125 billion of our income tax dollars into the 9 commercial banks that owned most (almost all) of that real estate in Mortgage backed securities and collateral debt obligations (CDO.) Of that $125 billion, we got about $140 billion back from the banks. Yes hedge, the taxpayer MADE MONEY off the big banks, $15 billion in interest

in any event, $630 billion in foreclosures and short sales with not quite 10,000,000 mortgages (more like 8,000,000 mortgages, residential and commercial) and you can divide that and do the math and see what each of those welshers gave back to the banks. I have never welshed on a dollar for any loan I have taken in my life
