Myself and my daughter will be visiting my wife in Dallas while she is in training. We will be there for a week in Mid-March. As a family, we will spend time together in the evening. During the day time, my wife will be training. What is there to do in Dallas in March?

Thank you Mr Editor. It was late Sunday night and I was tired. Sorry about the grammar.

Okay ME and my daughter will be in Dallas in mid-March. We have some Texas residents here, any advice on things to do (and NOT to do) during the day? Thanks in advance.

You need to drive by the book depository, but make sure you have a former marine in there shooting at you when you drive by it.

bush presidential museum

SMU has a artsy part of town with some good resteraunts coffee shops

cotton bowl is also where the state fair is although in march probably not a lot going on

I'd dump the wife and kid shopping and played golf a lot you don't have that option though

Somehow I don't think my recommendation to get menudo at someplace like El Rincon Tapatio in Oak Cliff would go over well with IB.

I'm not a fan of Dallas

Do have family there though so I go there fairly often

My serious recommendation for a place to go on a trip to Dallas (esp a family friendly one) would be to tell you to go to Fort Worth instead.

Thanks guys.

We will check out Ft Worth, SMU, and the Book Depository. Lousy thing is, Mr Shark Tank's team is on the road all that week and none of the March Madness game are in Dallas so its like... meh. I wonder if Jerry World runs tours during the offseason?

Actually, that doesn't sound so bad.

Is the practice facility open in Frisco? I know that was supposed to be a shopping venue and tourist attraction

I think my daughter would actually love to see the TCU and SMU campuses. She has kinda-sorta decided where she wants to go to college (given its proximity to family and... alpine snow skiing) but nothing is for certain. So we might make a stop. Both campuses are likely on Spring Break that week so maybe they'll be empty, I don't know.
