Stay the fuck away from Akron. If BG thinks he's as good as they say they won't give a deadline. Any other schools give a deadline?

Miami's not involved at all (grades). My main concern with UC is that while he is gray-shirted that semester, he fucks around and gets in trouble or gets injured and loses any chance at a scholarship. I also think his personality is more suited to the big fish in a small pond than the opposite. My opinion is probably also tempered by the fact that for the past two years I thought the MAC was his ceiling -- never saw a 4.39 coming.

Ball State's wasn't as fast and hard as BG's, but they are pressuring him. Both school saying they are only taking 1 more WR in this recruiting class and there are 8-10 out there that they've offered and if one of them jumps on the offer, then the boy is out of luck. Ball State was honest enough to tell us that 5 of those offers were to 4-star kids in Florida and Georgia and that they really had no shot at getting any of them -- we only had to worry about two Indiana kids that they had offered.
BG's head coach flat said in his office on Monday that a pair of WRs from Detroit were coming down on Thursday (tomorrow) and he expected one of them to commit, so he gave the boy a hard 3-day deadline. It could be bullshit, but I'm not a cool enough poker player to call a bluff with a $100K on the line...

Rat, what sucks is that I had him convinced of exactly what you said about the MAC education being the way to go. Then Dad, who hasn't been involved with his life other than attending football games, for 8 years, steps in and pumps him up to believe the MAC is beneath him because his size, weight and 40 time are the same as A.J. Green's. I want to shoot the fucker.

Id go with your gut about Ball State then. Good school. Its not like nowadays the MAC is over looked but McShay & Kieper (or however you spell those idiots names). If he's good, he'll be found. A full ride to UC might further those chances and would be tough to pass up but unless they offer that, I agree with you. Ball State.

A kid is always going to want to impress their dad no matter how much he was involved before. He's always going to be his dad. Im a dad who was away from his kids for awhile for the same reason. Things are a 100% better now but I remember their faces back then when it was rough. Seems this dad is looking out for this dad. Sad. You know those cartoons with the devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other? All you can do is.play the part of the angle and suggest him options. Its his choice in the end. For better or worse.

And as long as his MUF sees how much you care about him you'll be eating pussy till your 70 and your teeth fall out.

What about prepping for a year at Hargrave, Fork Union or something along those lines?

with the BCS going away, its not like UC has a realistic shot to do anything of more relevance than a MAC school for the next 6 or 8 years.

I don't think there are any prep schools in Ohio. And yeah, that's my argument. Hell, the Big East is gonna be a shittier conference than the MAC in a couple years

What about going to one of the prep schools out of state?

why is Bluecat referring to "the MIF?" did he finally steal Hedge's girl? or is he talking about a different woman?

Different woman. Get out of the house every now and then, Gator -- the world is full of MILFs.

"did he finally steal Hedge's girl?"
Well, not my current one, at least. As far as I know...

Although I will say the current MIF would probably eat up lines like "You can't live in fear" even more than the other trollop I trotted out during my visit to Ohio...

Everyone knows Shiny came up w/ BGTC

Heh.
Look, I don't think it's especially clever or witty. But it's mine. Any suggestion to the contrary is actionable. I will retain DS with some Popeyes chicken and one of eCat's half priced milkshakes. Heck, I may even throw in a poster of 1997 fat Oprah.

That sounds like one hell of a bargain for me. I will be emailing you a copy of the contract, and you can fedex back to my office.
