Aint that a hoot?
I was going to say that, but I thought you might think I was referring to Alabama.

Coach Dooley made it to town recently and I got to meet him. Great guy. We will do good with this guy assuming we don't get slammed by the NCAA and he doesn't bolt for some place else. Time will tell if we win any championships with him but we'll do good.
A local news paper reporter was in front of me talking to him and chatted it up with Dooley regarding the NCAA decision about to come to us. I didn't catch everything that was said, but Dooley seemed fairly positive and upbeat about was about to be handed down to us by the NCAA. Or at least what what may not come as the case maybe. He left everyone with the impression the NCAA wasn't going to destroy UT, or at least he felt that way.
I think I've said in the past I felt like we would get a year or two probation and a loss of a handful of scholies. I still feel that way.
May all my feelings be dead on...
Question: is it to late to ban us from a bowl game this season or would the earliest a bowl ban could take place would be next season?

OF your perspective is probably dead with respect to Dooley. He really seems like a class young man and someone easily likeable. Sadly, UT should FIRE DOOLEY NOW! We got a few more years in a row to get back to comfortable double digit win totals against our chief rivals and that type coach won't help matters any.

Worst case scenario, UT will have to vacate some victories during the Johnny Majors era, except for any victories over Alabama (assuming there were any).

Seriously: worst case scenerio: UT will lose 1 or 2 scholarships and/or some of the staff will be restricted to on-campus recruiting for up to one year. And
1982 Tenn 35, AL 28 Tenn Head Coach: John Majors
1983 Tenn 41, Al 34 "
1984 Tenn 28. Al 27 "
1985 Tenn 16, Al 14 "
