I got no use for a bunch of freaks sitting in the woods crying over a tree, but I do feel it's unconscionable that we're cutting down trees that are thousands of years old. the few remaining old growth forest we have left need to be protected. there are alternatives.

With the addition of Mike Blakely to last year's recruiting class, it moved past FSU to #1 on the reputable rating service.

Heh to the "R". Not so much to the video.

Did you visit al.com very often? There's a couple of links over there right now about the SEC meetings in Destin. You know, the place Alabama sent Mike Price who WANTED to become Alabama's coach but never signed his contract before the lap dance? Talks about how the SEC and NCAA get together to ensure more timely reporting of offenses. It'll probably be called the "Cam" rule eventually.

Yes, I visit al.com virtually every day. It is an excellent source of sports news to balance out ITAT. And yes, I read the stories about the SEC meetings taking place in Destin. And yes, the location of the meeting hearkened back to when Mike Price, while carrying out the duties of his office as Alabama Head Coach, misbehaved and resulted in his being fired from his former position as Alabama Head Coach.

And yes, I'm sure the saga of Cam and Cecil came up. IIRC, Auburn's coaching staff became aware of Cecil trying to sell Cam to MSU early on and reported it to the SEC before the season started. In the end, that's probably what kept us out of hot water. But it appears that the SEC pulled a Tresell and dragged their feet in reporting the incident to the NCAA. Slive had some 'splainin' to do, but we don't. At least so far.

Dear Mr. Professor Tiger:

You had me listening right up to the part about Mike Price being fired from his former "position as Alabama Head Coach". While Dr. Witt did indeed fire him, it was an ending of contract discussions. You are technically correct that he was "carrying out the duties of his office", but no contract means no formal job at this position.

Revise and resubmit.

Respectfully,

GBJs

My Dear Mr. GBJ,

If I remember correctly, during the infamous Destin trip, Alabama Head Coach Mike Price' used the University's credit card to pay for certain ladies' "services." If he was not Head Coach of the University of Alabama at the time, why was he in possession of one of the university's credit cards? Or is the University of Alabama in the habit of issuing credit cards to non-employees?

Furthermore, after his hire as Alabama Head Coach, but before his firing as Alabama Head Coach, Mike Price was certainly financially compensated somehow by the University of Alabama. For what services was he compensated?

Your prompt response to this important matter is appreciated.

Your Most Humble Servant,

Professor Tiger

No. It paid for room service.

No. It paid for room service.
Okay, I'll take your word for that. But then the question remains: if Mike Price was not the Head Coach at Alabama at the time, why did he have a University credit card to pay for room service? Does the University of Alabama issue its credit cards to non-employees?
