rumor is EJ has a separated shoulder - starter will be Trickett, Jimbo may burn Coker's redshirt and put him ahead of Secord

we are down to 4 receivers - might consider giving Reid and Joyner some reps in order to give the regular receivers some time off

the O-line needs to gel right now - they have run out of time - OU only rushed 3 when Trickett was in and were able to put plenty of pressure on him

the D is going to have to score a few points and give the O a short field in order for us to get past the tiggers

I thought they blitzed Trick a lot? Good lord if they did that with 3 rushers then I know two things:

1) I was drunker than I thought.

2) The Noles are in serious trouble, gentlemen

heh - we set up our tailgate at 07:00 - kickoff was 13 hours later - there is an excellent chance I missed some details but Gene's voice on the radio kept saying they were only rushing only 3 - if they were bringing corner or linebacker blitzes also then maybe we have a chance

2 roughing the kicker penalties, 2 pass interference penalties, one interception thrown, less than 40 yards rushing and we're only down 11 points at the half... litmfw baby, book it

sigh...one rusher tonight with a total of 36 yards - subtract Trickett's -5 for a team total of 31 yards - sigh - gentlemen, the noles are in for a long season

The defense played poorly overall but crucial penalties are what killed us. I still feel like we win the rest of our games til UF, and we'll see how that goes. The ACC really fucked over two of its premier programs (FSU and Clemson) through scheduling. FSU should not have had to go on the road to its biggest conference game right after a marquee national matchup against OU and Clemson should not have had to play the defending champs, FSU, and on the road to Blacksburg in successive weeks. If Clemson makes it through next week I actually hope they win out, the conference needs a national contender. However, they're just not that good, and neither are we with a backup QB, 4 of its top 5 receivers out, and some key injuries on defense. And the O-line is pitiful.

Wow, talk about some bogus-ass charges. The report mentions nothing of "resisting arrest" and he fibbed about his buddy's name...to a cop....not in court. Meh.

You guys need to buck up and start looking at the big picture that is developing around you.

1. There are 3 mega-football conferences being formed (that will also play rounball, tennis, golf etc)

2. There is 1 mega-basketball conference being formed (that will also play tennis, football, golf etc)

You guys are in that second thingy.

I know yer prez keeps telling everybody that you are staying put. He does this because there is an outside chance that the league may bring in a TX and/or OU. Or somebody -anybody - that can add to your lagging fball stature. SYR and Pitt did not do that. Neither will UConn and Louisville.

No question whatsoever that the ACC will rule basketball - once again - and bigger and better than before. Everything ever spoken about Big East bball will pale miserably to the Colossus that you have now have brewing. So there is that, if that's your cup of tea.

But noles do football, right? None of you are sitting here with two losses and pining away for that first basketball exhibition like the rest of your brethren. Hell no - you're scheming to win your division, win the conf CG and get back to the BCS.

Anyway. Take a look at #1 and #2 again. And I know for a fact FSU has had serious interest from the SEC...some say there is a standing offer. TX ain't coming. People need to pay attention..

brining in Syr, Pitt then Conn and Rut are to placate the tabacco road 4 for having previously brought in FSU, UM and VT - still not sure where BC fits in except for NE market and possibly scholastic ranking...

...nah, they're jesuits

I think we're actively investigating moving. The increase in ACC exit fee was a smokescreen.

From what I understand, the exit fee was previously $16M. The league got together to vote on an increase, and proposed more than doubling it to $34M.

The only schools that prevented it from happening were FSU and Maryland, who agreed to a modest bump from $16M to $20M. There obviously couldn't be a 10-2 or 11-1 vote so the increase was a false show of solidarity.

If the SEC offers, we will accept. But they're going to have to get over the "gentlemen's agreement" not to offer new schools in the same state as existing schools (e.g. FSU, Clemson, Louisville), because UF would never agree - FSU in their conference does absolutely nothing positive for them.
