Damn, Miami deserves to lose this, they can't even get a shot off with 25 seconds in regulation? Not even an air ball? Pathetic...

This has to be on of the shittier OT's I've seen. Dook has missed like 5 free throws and Miami has missed a few, too. It's basically going to come down to who wants to lose worse, and it looks like it's going to be Dook...

"UNC should beat Maryland anytime/anyplace this season"

Well, we did outscore them by 18 in the second half. Actually less than that, like the last 17 minutes of the second half...

Wonder when the last time was when Dook lost two in a row? I hope it happens Wednesday. For some reason I can see us beating them pretty good...

Just saw this on IC. I wonder when the brackets come out?

"Looking Ahead to 2012-13: UNC will play in the 2012 Maui Invitational, which will also include Texas, Butler, Marquette, Illinois, Southern Cal, Mississippi State and Chaminade. The Tar Heels will play at Long Beach State on their way to Maui. "

The little brothers of Indiana are back in their proper places. I hope Butler and Purdue enjoyed their success while it lasted. Big Brother has come back home to take what is his.

IU's not doing so great eithier lately. You managed a one point win against us at home in December in front of a hysterical crowd. Wouldn't happen now, and sure as hell wouldn't happen on a nutreal court. I hope we meet again in the tourney and that score wll be settled.

Heh...

So eCat, I've gone on record as saying this is the best Kentucky team I've seen since 1996 (and I'd take the 2012 top 6 over 1996's, with the unreal depth from Pitino's team being what made that team so great). That last second loss in Rupp still irks the shit out of me, but I realize now just what we were up against. So with all that said, if you could eliminate one team from the NCAA tournament without UK having to play them, who would it be? I'd pick UK if given the choice for Carolina. But something tells me we're on a collision course in New Orleans.

yea, this is the best team we've had since '96, no question.

But just like that team, I'm afraid they need a punch in the mouth to stay motivated. - I think Vanderbilt, Florida or Miss St will be the ones to do it.

We're still not a strong team against a good zone. If I had to eliminate a team, it wouldn't be UNC even though I still think UNC is 1B to UK being 1A, it would be Syracuse.

Yeah, I could see that. Outside of Indiana, Syracuse is in the running for the program that has inflicted the most misery on the Heels in my lifetime in the NCAA Tournament.

We need to avoid another UNLV spread the court, nail threes, and drive the ball down our throats squad in the NCAAs. At least with UNC-UK, it's mano y mano.

part of our zone failure and our inability to lock down a hot 3 point shooting team I think is due to Cal not prepping the team for the opponent. They don't see game tape until the day of the game.

Now I can't argue with his approach because Cal and UK is kicking ass, and honestly they don't rarely face a good zone team or a particularly hot shooting 3 point team, but when they do, there is some serious halftime adjustments that have to be made.

No one will ever have a team with that kind of depth like UK 1996 again, unless the NBA changes it's method of operation. I don't see that happening. Not in our lifetime.

don't worry, TAK. this is UK's year. they are head and shoulders above any other team and should bring Calipari his first championship. I just can't see them losing...
