The weird part is not ranked voting. Its the stupid non-partisan primary that picks four candidates. Its stupid to have a general election where there are 3 Republicans, vs 1 Democrat, Republicans get like 65% of the vote in the first rank, but the Democrat wins. Ranked voting needs a normal primary process where in the general there are actually candidates from different parties with different platforms. Not 65% of people vote for a Republican, but theres three Republicans running. Thats asinine, or I guess we can call it "Alaskan"

Tom Cotton was crying about that same thing but voting for “the same party” is not a metric for winning elections. The Repubs failed because they let three different candidates into the general. Did they not know the rules? What did they think would happen?
