Sunglasses to hide the bloodshot eyes; arms crossed to express impatience (or hold down the body odor).

"Oh come owe-unh...HE'S THUH EN-UH-MEEE!!"

Heh. I posted that because that's the first time I had seen the spot in its entirety. In the clip I saw, I didn't get to see Hank's comment about Gretchen and the other guy's comment about Hank Jr's arms being crossed.

And while he is a resident of Tennessee, he's wearing a friggin' Bama cap, when he has said many times he was a fan of Auburn and wanted to go to Auburn "to study marine biology."

I figured he did, since that's what the title of the video said...but then I just watched the clip. Unless my ears deceive me, I think he's saying "the tea party is sayin' screw the country, we're going to make sure obama is a one-term president...we want that black president outta here."

Plus, he didn't appear to be belligerent, drunk, or hungover.
That's a joke, right?

I've got a good woman at home who thinks I do no wrong
But sometimes Lord she just ain't always around
And you know that's when I fall I can't help myself at all
And I get whiskey bent and hell bound

I don't care about Hank Jr's comments. In fact, I found his drunken, rambling commentary to be funny.

My only interest in this is as a manager or director of a company. If he had been a spokesman for me or my company, I would have done what MNF did. You just don't want your brand associated with such foolishness.

Now, if the question is, 'did Hank Jr have the right to say what he did?', then the answer is a resounding "Absolutely" and I would gladly lay down Tick's life to preserve his freedom to say whatever he wanted.

Nearly a month after the president proposed his jobs bill, it has not yet been taken up in the chamber controlled by his party. "We'll get to that," Senator Harry Reid, the majority leader, said last month, after taking up a misguided bill to punish China for currency manipulation. The truth is that Mr. Reid has not had enough Democratic votes to even claim a Senate majority. That is because so many members of his caucus do not have the political courage to stand up for aggressive government action to revive the economy, or to admit that both higher taxes on the wealthy and an end to corporate tax breaks are necessary to pay for it and to start wrestling down the deficit.

Well, he has a broad constituency...

I saw him once at a restaurant near the O-rena in Orlando, surrounded by a bevy of Orlando Magic cheerleaders while he ate. It must be tough to be Hank.

I've got to throw the bs flag on that one. Hank Jr. has been a huge Bama fan since the '70's. He even had Cornelius Bennett star in one of his videos. He has been the halftime entertainment at countless Bama games, never at Jordan Hare.

You're just embarassed that his loud drunken illiterate ramblings, while wearing an Alabama hat, reinforce the national perception of Alabama fans, as set by Updyke, megaskeet, et al.

Well, in my view, America has never fully appreciated the true musical greatness that is Bocephus. They never appreciated Mozart when he was alive, either.

Incorrect. He stated that in an interview. For it to be worth my while to dig it up, we must place a wager on it.

What shall be the stakes?

Correction: it wasn't Cornelius Bennett; it was Derrick Thomas, and here it is:

AA, if he said that in an interview, then he was joking.

I got a counter-offer for you: You find all the pic's you can of him wearing Auburn hats, t-shirts, etc. I will find all the pic's of him wearing Bama hats, t-shirts, etc. We'll see who's the winner.

Maybe in Alabama that would be considered a win.

Finebaum had Tracy Rocker on his show this week. Does that make him an Auburn fan?

Anyway, what will the wager be?

If you find more pictures of Hank Jr. wearing Auburn hats and r-shirts then I find of him wearing Alabama hats and t-shirts, then I will post a non-obscene or blasphemous userpic of your choice for a month. If not, then you post a userpic of my choice for a month.

How's that?
