Being torn by national pride, the desire to suceed professionally, the fear of the living in a nuclear age, and relief that the Reich and Hitler's end were close at hand was very interesting.

I've still got Netflix sending me DVD's in the mail, but now that I've got DVR on my Time Warner box, these things are just sitting here for weeks or months at a time going unwatched. But a lot of the stuff that I want to watch from Netflix is only available thru DVD, not streaming. Can I record the DVD's onto the Time Warner DVR, so I could build up a good library of stuff and watch it at my leisure instead the DVD's laying around here for so long? Every google search I try is telling me how to transfer something off of the DVR onto a DVD, but I want to do the reverse. Thoughts?

I was touting a similar option on here...gave out one to everyone in the family last Xmas.

When you say hacked you mean rooted for google play store with Kodi installed right?

To answer your question, I doubt you can easily copy movies from a DVD to your DVR, however you can rip DVD's using a software package like DVDFab (hacked free versions are out there if you want)

but there is an easier route. Find a site like putlocker, primewire or viooz

(http://www.allbesttricks.com/top-best-f ... ing-sites/)

if you are using Mozilla Firefox, install the add on for downloading streaming movies http://glimmersoft.com/podcaster/ (just download , then drag and drop in the whitespace inside your browser window, then restart the browser.

Once you find a movie you like then click on the little glimmer soft iconImage and then download it to your hard drive

play it from your computer with the HDMI or copy it to a memory stick or external hard drive and the hacked Android box (Amazon fire thingy) will play it for you with a google app you download called MX player (or Kodi)

Watching the highlights from this past weekend's UNC/Miami game this afternoon prompted me to go back and watch the highlights of the UNC/Miami game from 2004. That was a fun night...

Good for him...but fuck him if he rides against the flow of traffic or runs red lights. If you want the streets as a commuter, then follow all the rules.

when a bicyclist runs a red light, that's when you don't have to care if he's on the road or not.

Interesting article in which smart phones and the related technology in general are compared to Big Tobacco with regard to how they addict users. It bolstered my Luddite resolve to hang onto my flip phone, irregardless of the scorn and derision I face from the deluded and brainwarshed masses...

I was kicked out of that game during the second quarter. I was on a five day bender and didn't give a fuck. After the Sox won on Wednesday night, I didn't stop drinking until Monday morning November 1 (had to party like a rock star for Halloween) when I wrote some bullshit paper for Drama 017 that was due at 11am.

Those were the days...
