books for my sons first semester only came to $300.
I say only because as I was standing in line to buy books for my daughter on Thursday, the guy in front of me bought 6, at least one of them used and the bill came to $919 for UC - and he just smiled and charged it to a credit card.
so normally I'd shit my pants and throw a fit at the idea of 5 books costing $300, but because of me seeing that $919, I feel like its a bargain
plus I'm making my son pay for them

My son's came to around $300...$200 of which was one class, with lab book and CD...
Rented a couple of them, with free shipping on return...saved at least $100 doing that...

ebay has really become agressive about promoting sales by sending reminders out letting you know that stuff you even casually looked at has an auction that will be ending soon.
I was not thrilled when a notice popped up on my Microsoft outlook saying "still considering the penis extender? Auction ends in ......"
you'd think they'd filter on some of that stuff
